To be fair, plain chicken - macro - will cry when eat 100 more calories is an ed - orthorexia. It is dangerous and is exhibited in gym enthusiasts at huge rate. Very few people are aware and it is an issue, just like BED is in obese populus throughout this vid.
The one around J9jgM2AYD_U&t=1m35s 1:35 is crazy. You can smell the insecurity miles away. Like thinking that your roommate doing something so mondain as doing their laundry is an attack on you?
"You realize 250 could be muscle"
Okay what extreme sport are you a part of
"OH no. Exercise is just fatphobia and the exercise industry to get you"
...it's not muscle than...
Please don't post pictures of your new car. I still have to take the bus and it makes me feel icky. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Calories-in-calories-out isn’t always accurate, yes. But that’s because there are more nutrients present in lower-calorie healthy foods, such as leafy greens, and although raw fish has more calories per ounce than white rice it has more nutrition in it.
It’s all about what you eat and the nutrition in it, while keeping in your metabolic limit.
I remember I used to watch these videos and I was around 200 pounds.. I stopped watching them beacuse I got really insecure, I'm now almost 180 pounds and I'm slowly feeling better about myself. When I got to 190, I almost started crying beacuse i was honestly extremely happy and thought I could do this. And so far all I've been doing is walking twice daily for atleast half an hour and trying to cut back on how much I eat (still end up stress eating but I'm trying to stop), hell I even started therapy for my depression (I haven't been to an actual appointment yet, but I got through the initial assessment and my first appointment is soon :D).
If I remember this I'll try to update it at some point, wish me luck.
I love how they say healthy eatting is a "eatting disorder" when they litterally participate in an actual eating disorder binge eating is an eating disorder whether they like it or not.
I work at a vet clinic, and yes obese pets is a huge issue. It's definitely not fatphobia when we recommend a diet. I've seen a chihuahua that should have weighed around 6 lbs weigh in at 20. He was only 2 years old but was already having issues that we don't normally see in such young dogs. If he continues on that path he would likely not live past 6 or 7 when he should live 15 to 20 years. There was also a beagle that was so obese his belly dragged on the ground when he walked. His belly was constantly covered in infected scabs and his paw pads were always split open and bleeding because of the weight he had to put on them. That's not including the awful arthritis he had in his hips, knees, and back made worse by the fact that he was part wienner dog so he had an elongated spine and stubby legs already and that makes extra weight even worse for them. Unfortunately when the owners refuse to do anything there's not much h we can do aside from slowly watch them expire.
This makes think of that time Donald Trump tried to convince everyone he was 270lbs lol the media kept showing pictures of other 270lb people for comparison
I just kept thinking "he's 6'3 and half as wide as he is tall..."
When my pops was built like him he was like 400lbs. And people fucking believed him.
It's not an exact 1-to-1 metric, but the time you spend over your healthy weight cuts time off the end of your life, cuz your body works harder, and it's only got so much run time. There are parts of you that don't renew, and those parts wear out.
The real issue with all this is that negative reinforcement doesn't really work for 99% of people. Making someone depressed and defensive isn't gonna help them change. What really helps is confidence, ironically.
J9jgM2AYD_U&t=4m20s 4:20 i think the gym bro/eating disorder correlation is actually pretty valid. ive suffered from anorexia for about 4 years now and ive noticed that plenty of gym bros exhibit the most disordered and dangerous behavior i've ever seen. so many men suffer from body dysmorphia and it gets downplayed simply bc they're men and ""anorexia is a disorder for little girls"" but no. men 100% starve themselves, hate their bodies, excessively exercise, and take harmful substances/drugs to fix perceived flaws in their body, just like anorexic girls do.
i love my body and that’s why i started going to the gym a few days a week. if you love someone, you want the best for them. so now i try to give my body what would be best for it. not just exercise, but eating better food, sleeping more, and reducing caffeine intake. i lost weight while doing that and that’s also pretty great, because now i can also love how my body looks! even though i’m disabled and have issues with chronic pain, it’s so far been a win-win. listening to your body includes getting rid of unhealthy habits.
They need to know your weight so they can dose you correctly you limpet
Fat people who don't want thin people to buy comfy baggy clothes, I'm surprised they don't call it Fat Face. LOL
J9jgM2AYD_U&t=10m17s 10:17 made by someone who has never worked in catering! Some people count calories and staff don't have time to remember and answer how many calories are in this and how many calories are in that. It's easier for everyone, including the customers, to just have it on the menu.
"Why are they keeping fat athletes off TV?"
Oh lord... Like, most of it this is just "I feel bad about myself but it's easier to point a finger than look in the mirror" but this one takes the cake.
(Pun retroactively intended)
The only thing I suffer with my 16st weight is running and hemorrhoids. Those buggers are annoying and unpredictable when it comes to itchiness and bleeding
how the fuck is knowing weight a health risk... ARE DOCTORS JUST MAKING SHIT UP NOW...
imagine a tube in a pillow case... now stuff that pillow case with so much fluff that it deforms the tube....
