The new episode provides a brief account of the surprise attack staged by Japanese carrier-borne aircraft on Pearl Harbor. On the morning of December 7, 1941 — a Sunday — Japanese aircraft took off from six aircraft carriers and attacked the American fleet stationed at Hawaii. The Imperial Japanese Navy intended to neutralize the U.S. naval forces in the Pacific in order to subsequently capture Southeast Asia, a region that's rich in natural resources. The surprise attack allowed Japan to seize the initiative in the Pacific theater of operations for a period of half a year. Over the course of several months, the events set in motion by the Japanese blitzkrieg resulted in the capture of Hong Kong, Malaya, Burma, the Dutch East Indies, Brunei, and the Philippines. But was it really a great win? How successful was the attack on Pearl Harbor, and what were its true consequences? Personally have always wondered, if one of targets on 9/11 had been that memorial, just how much worldwide man- and firepower would been poised against 'terrorists' ? Probably world's navies would had sent enough combined destructive firepower to level place. 🤨🤐🤯🤓😭

PEOPLE NEED TOO REALISE THAT THIS WAS NOT THE FIRST CARRIER AIRBORNE ATTACK ON A FLEET IN HARBOUR. THAT HAPPENED WHEN THE ROYAL NAVY BOMBED AND TORPEDOED THE ITALIAN FLEET IN TARANTO HARBOUR PLUS IT WAS THE BRITISH THAT CAME UP WITH THE IDEA OF FITTING WOODEN SHOES ON THE FINS TO MAKE THEM RUN SHALLOW THREE BBs DAMAGED PLUS ONE HEAVY CRUISER AND A COUPLE OF DESTROYERS THIS HAPPENED IN NOVEMBER OF 1940....THE ATTACK WAS ALSO AT NIGHT.....
long life to the heros
You’re an American standing in Hawaii, talking about the Arizona, and you tell us how many meters deep the water is? We use feet and yards here.
It’s also amazing how the words “sneak attack“ I’ve been whitewashed from today’s documentaries. All the Japanese know it was a sneak attack. Calling it anything less these days Will not offend the Japanese. If it does offend some of them, then they need to look to history. Real history.
It’s hard to comprehend that humans used to fight each other like this. At the time, the most advanced aircraft, battleships, and machine guns going toe-to-toe. What a fascinating time in our short modern history.
But after high end legendary attack on military targets💥 ... us launched a nuke on civilians what a war crime and a symbol of freaks🤣💔
This narrator has a lisp or something...what the hell is torwa torwa torwa
