How to grow hydroponically in a milk jug. This is a tutorial on one way to grow hydroponic lettuce in an old milk jug that allows you to watch the roots fill the resevoir. Really simple and fun to do. This would be a great experiment for kids to teach them on how hydroponics works. I used a one gallon milk jug, nutrient mix, 2 inch net pot, and some growing medium (which in this case was potting mix, but clay pebbles or rockwool cubes may have been preferred). 2 inch net pots: 🤍amzn.to/2n3vR2d Masterblend Fertilizer: 🤍amzn.to/2nnPeGU Calcium: 🤍amzn.to/2nnPeGU Epsom Salt: 🤍amzn.to/2nnPeGU LED lights: 🤍amzn.to/2nR76ek 1000w Light Kit: 🤍amzn.to/2nicUL5 Lettuce Seed: 🤍amzn.to/2nig6Gu Clay Pebbles: 🤍amzn.to/2nnIg4B Rockwool Cubes: 🤍amzn.to/2nUse3Q

Refreshing not to have someone babble or have music-love it!
I love it! Clear, concise and not a bunch of blah, blah, blah. You have a new subscriber!
just seen the vid. NICE!!!!!!! question tho: Lets say u covered the jug and didnt have the alge problem and the root growth was HUGE; would the plant continue to grow after cutting the roots back? thanks
Great vid, even with the algae.Straight to the point.
Hi there, I had a question pls! North of the border we milk drinkers get our milk from cartons instead...curious, since you all were mentioning covering the jug sides if maybe using the milk cartons we get would prove as effective? Only difference is the set-in would go in at an angle and not level. ...any thoughts??
What did you do with the base you cut off???????
You got a great salad. Reused a milk jug. Spent about 2 cents. Put more oxygen in your home air. And did not depend on a store for food. And showed others how simply it could be done. I salute you. Well done!!!
Nice video. Thanks for sharing
damn that water turned SO GREEN
I wouldn't waste my time. There's no flavor unless you grow in earth.
I hate it when people are to lazy to talk and actually give you information on their videos! Epic fail
The milk jug got real green
Inside-----is that ok
Plastics leach chemicals. Like B.p.a.
Paint or cover the jug will prevent alge from growing
that fertilizer and stuff you mixed in i would want to do organic what can be used?
Please support me also
Can you just rip the top of the lettuce off and let it keep growing?
