Wonders never cease ….suddenly there is a full video recording of the highlight of Sunday night Oct. 16 at the Afas Live in Amsterdam, the closing number Every Grain Of Sand. In May1981, when Clydie King had heard only the first 2 lines of Every Grain of Sand, she told Bob that this would be a classic. Bob said that would have to be proven 100 years from now. 'Only' 41 years later you can confidently say it is a classic! Enjoy!

...and Dylan and the band went out from the stage and comes back two times to receive the applause and bow...while stage workers are rigging down instruments and equipment. You can hear it at 8 min, and then at about 10:30 min. (By the way; Dylan starts singing "Friend of the Devil", but the band don't follow) - I WAS THERE! Bob Dylan - Every Grain of Sand - Amsterdam - AFAS - 2022-10-17. Probably his very last song ever in the Netherlands. Maybe the last on the continent ever. 'Then onward in my journey I come to understand That every hair is numbered like every grain of sand...' And so it is!

I just love this guy. He is flawless and so amazing. His voice is amazing again. Every Grain of Sand is one of Bob's best songs ever. Very underrated

Friends, if you’ve followed me for any length of time, you know how much Bob Dylan has influenced my life and work. So today on his 80th birthday, I figured rather than producing a new commentary I would pay tribute to him with one of his songs. Happy Birthday!

I've tried to make a fingerstyle version for acoustic solo guitar out of this Dylan classic from 1981 - for everyone who wants to play this phantastic song as an instrumental.
