Dat succes dankt hij mede doordat hij steeds met de tijd meegaat, met steeds nieuwere en modernere technologie. Nu is er een nieuwe, die dankzij de nieuwste EcoBlue-dieselmotoren en mild hybride techniek nu nog schoner en zuiniger is. Allard Kalff is in Scandinavië, waar hij voor ons met de nieuwe Transit rijdt. Vorige week waren we bij de Noordelijke halve finale van het NK Veiligste Chauffeur. Deze week is het de beurt aan de 60 beste deelnemers uit het Zuidelijke deel van het land. Na het ochtendprogramma blijven er ook hier 10 deelnemers over, die in de middag op de praktijkproeven bepalen wie als de laatste vijf naar de Finale op 26 oktober in Assen mogen. We zijn op Vliegveld Twenthe, waar Mercedes-Benz de Chauffeursdag organiseert. Hier kunnen chauffeurs kennismaken met de nieuwe spiegelloze Mercedes-Benz Actros. Daarnaast worden hier de Kilometermiljonairs extra in het zonnetje gezet. Dat zijn chauffeurs die maar liefst 1 miljoen kilometer met een en dezelfde truck hebben gereden, of 12,5 of 25 jaar aaneengesloten met een voertuig van het Duitse merk. En we besteden aandacht aan het Mega Trucks Festival, het grootste indoor truckfestival van de Benelux dat traditioneel in december wordt gehouden. Dit jaar is alweer de zesde editie van het evenement. Deze vindt plaats op zaterdag 14 en zondag 15 december 2019 in de Brabanthallen in Den Bosch. We have some interested buyers in our vans so we wanted to see what the market looks like for new vans. We know we want our next rig to be either a 4x4 or AWD vehicle so we checked out the only two vans on the market with these options. We headed to the local dealerships to test drive what they had.
