Kinabuch's, one of Puerto Princesa's top bars, is where many locals and tourists go to unwind after a long day, ..or a short one. On this occasion I make friends with a group of Philippine that are at the bar to celebrate a birthday. One member of the party is daughter to a public official and makes a case for visiting an obscure island in her father's district. The night continues with a discussion about perceptions of tourists and we exchange some of our most colorful slang terms.

ATMs and banks aren't really accessible everywhere. They are secluded in one area usually the town proper. - There will be additional charges like Lagoon fee, snorkle fee, aqua shoes fee etc. Depends on your travel agency or Klook. - When booking, downtown Puerto Princesa just means Puerto Princesa main city. Uptown is generally for big resorts, hotels, and local houses. - Bring reliable waterproof bag and cases for your phones, cameras, and other valuable things. You need this everytime you get off the boat as the stairs are unstable. - Bring extra sunscreen (Eco Friendly), you'll get burnt bad. Learn from my stupidity. :P - Bring Off Lotion (Insect repellant), small towel, toiletries, tissues, emergency meds/pills when Backpacking. - Local sim cards are pretty fast. So just buy one instead of relying on unstable wifi. - Take lots of videos not only pictures!
