Driving from Toronto to Calgary was no easy feat, and neither is moving from Toronto to Calgary. I drove all the way from Toronto to Calgary in two and a half days/36 hours. The drive was way more difficult than I thought it would be, mainly because on day one I was functioning on less than 3 hours of sleep. The scenery was breathtaking, and we made some pit stops along the way to take it all in. We drove from a city on the outskirts of Ontario straight through Manitobe and into Saskatchewan all in one day. That means we experienced three time zones in one day! At one point, we literally were at such high elevations that we drove through clouds - pretty scary. From sweltering heat, to thunderstorms, to dense fog, and a hail storm of bugs...we experienced it all. Would I do this road trip again? Yes, but NOT as a driver lol. Whether anyone watches this or not, it was a great memory that I want to keep here forever. - Furnished Apartment Tour video: 🤍

Calgarians woke up to roads, sidewalks and cars covered in snow Tuesday as the city saw, as much as 40 centimetres fall overnight. The snow started on Monday evening and brought strong, northerly winds, causing some treacherous driving conditions. According to Global News weather specialist Jodi Hughes, 20 centimetres of snow was recorded at YYC Calgary International Airport as of 5 a.m. on Tuesday. In other parts of the city, the snowfall totals ranged from 20 to 40 centimetres, depending on the area. In nearby Cochrane, as of 2:45 a.m. Tuesday, 35 centimetres of snow had fallen. Several Calgary Transit buses were experiencing trouble early Tuesday morning, with the transit authority tweeting that many routes were being detoured and some communities could not be accessed. Calgary Transit advised riders to keep an eye on their Twitter feed for updates. The city’s transportation department also tweeted that with the amount of snow that had fallen, crews were focusing on Priority 1 routes that see the highest volume of traffic throughout the city, like Crowchild and Glenmore trails. Alberta RCMP also advised drivers to stay off Highway 40 and Highway 1 due to “extremely poor” driving conditions Tuesday morning.
