I made a remote winter sub pen with a wrecked Uboat diorama. First time trying out snow pretty happy overall had a lot of fun and challenged through out the project. Hello dear Friends and welcome back to my channel, In this episode I have made a diorama showing a submarine firing torpedoes inside a bottle. For the submarine I have used the Hobby Boss plastic kit “USS Gato” with a scale 1:700. After painting the submarine with acrylic colors using my air brash, I have made the torpedoes' wash from clear and white UV resin. Then I have glued the torpedoes on the submarine with UV resin. I have then made a sandy bottom by using Stemolina and glued small rocks and seaweed on the seabed with UV resin. Then I have made the sea with blue epoxy resin and placed the submarine inside the sea. After the epoxy resin has cured I have created the sea surface with Vallejo acrylic gel and highlighted the waves with blue acrylic color and white UV resin. Then it was time for the second pouring of resin. Upon couring I have formed the bottle shape by woodturning the resin block in my lathe. Finally I have polished the bottle and created a wooden stand for it. I hope that you will enjoy this DIY video. For this my first attempt at using Epoxy Resin, I was inspired by a video I watched on YouTube of a modeller making a similar creation but with a surfer on top, he made it look easy, I soon learnt that its not lol. The mistakes I made were to much pigment for the sea colour, not taking enough time getting the bubbles out of the resin before curing. How ever I am pleased with the wave effects I managed, these were created with clear silicone sealant for the initial waves and then applying white silicone sealant on the wave crests. For the water falling off the submarine I used white glue and cotton wool. I have attached LED lights to the side and in the dark you can just make out the Megalodon.

My small dio shows SSN Snook during the sinking of the USS ARCHERFISH (AGSS 311) on Oct 17, 1968. Two MK 37-2 and one MK 14-5 torpedoes were employed by Snook. The first Mk 37-2 did not acquire or attack the target. The second MK 37-2 hit the stern and detonated but did not sink the target. The MK 14-5 hit between the after end of the conning tower and the after battery hatch, lifted her out of the water, broke her in half, and sank the Archerfish.

For the submarine I have used the Revell plastic kit “U Boat type VII C” with a scale 1:350. I used cylinder resin stands for the first time in the hope that they would be invisible once inside the epoxy resin. Unfortunately, they are a little visible so this idea didn’t work out very well. Cornelis Drebbel was considered to be the physicist, the inventor of the thermometer, lived in the royal palace of Jacques I and the deputy crown prince and princess of the king - as the father of the first submarine. In fact, he only applied the ideas of British mathematician William Bourne, launched in 1578. Bourne also had the idea of an empty mast for ventilation. That was the principle of the vent [2] that would eventually be fitted to German submarines of the XXI type. In 1624, Drebbel built an egg-shaped submarine, pushed by twelve additional rowers to the crew, which he tried on the River Thames to everyone's surprise. It seems that Drebbel had the idea of regenerating the air on board by chemical pathway with an alkaline solution, which greatly stimulated the curiosity of physicist Robert Boyle (1627-1691).

Любая диорама начинается со сборки модели, естественно я не мог это не отобразить в своем видео, как понятно подводная лодка от фирмы ревел, самая распространенная субмарина в кригсмарине, знаменитая семёрка, для такого масштаба в наборе не так много деталек, стыкуемость просто отличная, не смотря на то что часть литника палубы явно из-за коробки или транспортировки почтой была изогнута, подошла она просто как в литая, для того чтобы корпус был прочно проклеен, использовал местами канцелярские зажимы, прошелся свехтекучим клеем по стыкам лодки, закрепил мелочевку в виде рулей поворота, установил винты, рубку два перископа и шнорхель. Hello! Welcome to my first build on this channel. I am still a beginner and have a lot to learn, so please leave feedback in the comments. The kit is by HobbyBoss, but I added a flag and used a windshield from a Zvezda Kit. The whole process required one month to finish. And special thanks to Scale A Ton who inspired me with his ocean base technique. I wanted to build the Kursk because it was an interesting and fascinating submarine whose story ended tragically. At first, I bought the Kursk kit from Zvezda , but I found out in the building process that the Zvezda Kursk is surprisingly not even close to the original. There are many parts that are very different from the original, so I decided to buy the HobbyBoss kit, which is much better done in terms of details. First, I assembled the kit and left three rocket silos slightly open on one side, which is supposed to give the impression that the Kursk is closing its hatches. The rudders should be extended even though the uboat is on the surface, so it looks like the Kursk is getting ready to dive. After that I painted the Kursk with the color "Tire Black" from Mr.Color, because this black is the most similar to the black of uboats. This was followed by the decals and painting of details. For this I used colors from 🤍vallejocolors. The windows on the tower were terrible to paint, but I find them extremely important, as they give the russian submarines a creepy look. I also used a windscreen from the zvezda-kit and made a flag. The weathering effects were made with Black Wash and Rust Effects from 🤍ammomig . Then came the ocean base, which I molded with aluminum foil and heavy gel medium gloss and painted several times with 🤍tamiya_inc_jp Sea Blue, Clear Blue and Clear.
