In today's video I set out to explore Banda Aceh on the island of Sumatra. After 30 years of civil war and the Tsunami in 2004, this Capital of the Aceh Province has been through a lot! Before reaching Banda Aceh, I set off from Meulaboh on the western coast of Aceh. From here I ride on the beautiful USAID road all the way to the most northern Capital of the Sumatra Island. We first visit the famous Grand Mosque in Banda Aceh, Masjid Baiturrahman. We then dive deep into the history of the 2004 Tsunami in Banda Aceh, Indonesia. At the Banda Aceh Tsunami Mueseum, a local Acehnese woman tells us her story about that terrifying day in 2004. We then continue the tour to the most famous restaurant in Banda Aceh, Mie Razali. Here we try the famous Mie Aceh and give our honest opinion. We end the day by visiting the Rahmatullah Lampuuk Mosque, the Mosque that survived the Tsunami, before heading down to the paradise looking, Lampuuk Beach. Pelaku berinisial SM alias Komeng (38), buruh bangunan yang merupakan warga asal Kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan, Deli Serdang, Sumatera Utara ditangkap Personel Unit PPA Sat Reskrim Polresta Banda Aceh. Ia ditangkap karena melakukan pencurian dan pemerkosaan terhdapa wanita berusia 59 tahun berinisial CMS yang juga merupakan seorang janda. Kasat Reskrim, Kompol Fadhillah Aditya Pratama mengatakan, tersangka ditangkap tanpa perlawanan di Sumatera Utara setelah petugas melakukan penyelidikan usai menerima laporan. Berdasarkan kronologi kejadian, pada 24 September 2022 lalu sekira pukul 03.00 WIB, pelaku masuk ke rumah korban dengan cara merusak pintu belakang rumah. Saat itu diketahui korban hendak ke dapur untuk mencuci tangan di wastafel dan melihat pelaku sudah berada di dalam. Kemudian tiba-tiba pelaku langsung memukul bagian punggung korban menggunakan balok kayu dengan ukuran 5x5 sebanyak satu kali hingga korban terjatuh ke lantai. Akibat perbuatannya ia dijirat dengan dua pasalnya yakni Pasal 48 Qanun Aceh Nomor 6 Tahun 2014 tentang Hukum Jinayat dan Pasal 363 KUHPidana. Did you enjoy our previous travel vlog in Phuket? Well, we’re back with more — and this time in the beautiful land of Banda Aceh with Firefly. We flew with Firefly Airlines from the Subang Skypark Terminal to Sultan Iskandar Muda International Airport. Our first day started off with lunch at Rumah Makan Adytia Jaya (Ayam Pramugari). Since the town is known for their strong coffee, our next stop was Dedy Kopi. After an eventful day, we checked in at Pade Hotel and filled our tummies at Mie & Nasi Goreng Bardi for dinner. Our second day definitely got more interesting with PLTD Apung, Museum Tsunami Aceh, and Kapal Tsunami Lampulo on our list. It was quite a touching experience to be able to see things first hand, and paying our respects to both the lost ones and the survivors. Then, we headed to our last stop: Masjid Rahmatullah. Our third day adventures eventually escalated to taking a ferry from Ulee Lheue Ferry Pot all the way to Pulau Weh, where we explored the Japanese Coastal Fortress and Pantai Paradiso. We were ready to see some dolphins and go snorkeling! We took our last day more chill and featured Masjid Raya Baitulrahman, Rumoh Aceh, and UD .SYR Coffee. In collaboration with our Firefly “You Go, We Go” travel vlog series — we hope to inspire people to explore the world. Kota Banda Aceh Kota Banda Aceh adalah ibukota Provinsi Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam. Dahulu kota ini bernama Kutaraja, kemudian sejak 28 Desember 1962 namanya diganti menjadi Banda Aceh. Sebagai pusat pemerintahan, Kota Banda Aceh yang telah berumur 803 tahun ini (berdasarkan Perda Aceh No.5/1988, tanggal 22 April 1205 ditetapkan sebagai hari jadi Kota Banda Aceh) menjadi pusat kegiatan ekonomi, politik, sosial, dan budaya. Pada tanggal 26 Desember 2004, kota ini dilanda gelombang pasang tsunami yang menelan ratusan ribu jiwa penduduk dan menghancurkan lebih dari 60% bangunan kota ini. Wilayah Kota Banda Aceh terletak di ujung Barat Pulau Sumatra, memiliki tinggi daratan rata-rata 0,80 meter dari permukaan laut membentang di antara 05° 16’ 15’ – 05° 36’ 16” LU dan 95° 16’ 15”- 95° 22’ 35” BT. Di sebelah Utara, Kota Banda Aceh berbatasan dengan Selat Malaka, sedangkan disebelah Barat berbatasan dengan Samudra Indonesia dan di sebelah Timur dan Selatan berbatasan dengan Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Kota Banda Aceh secara administratif terdiri dari 9 kecamatan dan 88 desa atau kelurahan. Luas wilayah kota Banda Aceh adalah 61,36 km², dengan jumlah penduduk (tahun 2006) sebanyak 214.850 jiwa, terdiri dari laki-laki 112.129 jiwa dan perempuan 102.721 jiwa.
