Hi, (If you've benefitted from my videos or instruction on 🤍 please consider leaving a small donation at 🤍 I've put this video together quickly to compliment a review I wrote on the Hohner/sE Electronics HB-52 Harp Blaster harmonica microphone. The review can be found here: 🤍 My two JT30s came from Dennis Gruenling. If you want to buy a vintage harmonica mic you won't find a better source. Not cheap, but you can buy with complete confidence. 🤍 The element in the brown model 30 is labelled: 99B86 ED (which I *think* makes it from April 1966 but I'm happy to be corrected). The element in the green JT-30 is labelled: 99S556 AG (July 1961? Again, happy to be corrected). I got the dating info from 🤍 In the UK The Hohner HB-52 is available from The Harmonica Company (🤍 And also from Harmonicas Direct (🤍 Tell 'em I sent ya! What mic do you like more? Type in comments! In this video I compare Lone Wolf Blues Company Jason Ricci signature vs Hohner/SE Harpblaster HB52 harmonica microphones. Lone Wolf Blues Company Jason Ricci signature Pros: - Better bass response - More natural clean tone - standard 1/4 guitar jack input. Cables are available at any venue. - Fit standard shure clips (both wide for wireless and narrow for wired microphones), available at any venue. - Works better with pitch and modulation effects Cons: - slightly bigger - Not a perfect response to hand effects Hohner/SE Harpblaster HB52 Pros: - better response to hand effects - Sound really great with distortion - Locked connection - Very lightweight and easy to hold Cons: - weaker bass response - Dirtier clean sound - XLR connector, need adapter or special cable which is not available at any venue. - Need a special custom clip If I have to choose one - my choice is Jason Ricci signature. However I like to own HB52 and use it for one or two songs in a gig to use more hand effects. What is your choice? seydel1847.de best harmonica company!

Gear: Hohner Harp Blaster Mic, Stage5 RS amp (🤍) You will want to order a standard XLR to quarter inch 2 pin hot cable to work with this microphone. Those can likely be found online where music equipment/accessories are sold. Amazon probably even has them. Pre-Orders for the Harp Blaster. Not in stock yet. I got mine from Hohner as I work closely with them. 🤍

An in depth review from our friend and fantastic Harmonica player Mr Steve Baker. Steve talks about the new Hohner HB52 Microphone. 🤍
Here’s something hard to find, I guess! It’s my selfmade XLR (Cannon) to Amphenol adapter. Is it necessary? - Of course not! XLR is mechanical the better solution but I wanted something that works with my standard cord.

I have recently been asked a lot about my mics. What is best, what should I buy etc. Well, as everyone sounds different due to the embouchure etc. I thought I would make a little video comparing three elements in three mics. I did not change the settings between the segments and all three mics were at full volume. 1. The new Hohner SE HB 52 "Blaster". This has a dynamic element. 2. A T-3 with a Shure Black CR element from 1950 3. An Astatic JT-30 with a 151 element. I used an AFB+ and a Boss DM-2 delay. I show the settings later in the video. For the shuffle and the boogie, I used a Seydel Bb 1847. For the slow section at the end, I used a Marine Band in A. Hope this helps some people decide. Harp mic comparison... BlowsMeAway 'Bulletini' and Hohner 'HB52' played through the 'Fat Box' from Fat Tone Amps. Backing courtesy of MCCD Sessions. My conclusion.... HB52 has a little more rasp ... Bulletini has a fatter bottom. .... you may compensate for either through tone control or gain on amp or PA. These are both fantastic harp mics ... nought to choose other than subjectivity ... I say have both if you can ... though with mics, imao, a fat ass is a little more difficult to calorie up. .... oh.... the Fat Box rocks BTW!!🤍🤙🤟✊ 8th August 2020

Harley Benton TE-52 Telecaster (It's Super Affordable) So it's really cheap, but is it the business? I've tried a few Harley Bentons on the channel, some I've liked, some not so. Where does this one come in at? It's your typical Tele (this is the NA Vintage Series guitar) as far as specs go. But it's really heavy. If it's heavy it must be good. Right? Let's find out what kind of a guitar Harley Benton have cooked up for us this time. Great Dynamic Bullet Microphone Made by the Hohner Company together with microphone producer SE. Great sound and almost no feedback!
The Delta V6 amp and Hohner HB-52 mic. I set out to make a video of this amp with pedals, but the tone was so gorgeous without pedals I just stopped there. I've got the Hohner mic plugged into the High input and the power switched down to 8 watts. The tone takes on a different character with every different combination. 🤍
