Useremo l'installazione mediante il Docker che è un sistema di virtualizzazione di altissimo livello che permette non la semplice virtualizzazione a livello hardware ma proprio a livello di sistema operativo con la possibilità di installare svariati programmi, denominati container, anche senza l'esserne in possesso grazie all'installazione dell'immagine (image) via internet. In particolar modo, Stefano di SD Review, utilizzerà il deploy (il rilascio/l'installazione) utilizzando lo Stacks, che ci permetterà ancor di più di semplificarne l'installazione. In questo video vedremo anche come sfruttare un'altra qualità del Docker che è il rollback, ovvero la possibilità di installare anche versioni di immagini di container, nel nostro caso di Emby, di versioni diverse dall'ultimissima. Enorme valore aggiunto di SD Review, in quanto attualmente non presente tale sistema su tutta internet, ove si capisce che Stefano non fa del semplice copia e incolla di altri video americani come fanno molti Youtuber, ma crea, sviluppa e studia. La differenza tra Kodi e un media server è che con un media server si ha la possibilità di fare in un solo punto centralizzato la propria libreria multimediale e poi grazie ad un browser o all'app specifica, si accede alla libreria già creata. Perfetta per chi ha un NAS e perfetta per vedere i film da fuori casa accedendo alla propria libreria stile Netflix. Con Kodi bisogna creare la libreria multimediale su ogni applicativo Kodi ove lo si vuole installare. Ci sono 3 media server: - Plex - Emby - Jellyfin Plex: il primo che è nato. Ottimo ma ormai si deve pagare anche per delle cose basilari come l'avere il trailer Jellyfin: l'ultimo nato. Completamente gratuito. Ancora non supporta tutte le peculiarità di Plex. Lento nella ricerca delle locandine, trama, ecc.. Fatica a reperire i trailer. Nato e sviluppato da programmatori ex Emby passati a questo nuovo progetto a causa che Emby è diventato parzialmente a pagamento Emby: IL TOP! Si hanno tutte le funzionalità di Plex se non qualcuna in più. Sviluppo continuo grazie al forum molto attivo di utenti che lo utilizzano. La funzionalità di base gratuita supporta al 100% tutte le funzionalità principali per una libreria perfetta stile Kodi ma automatica al 100%. I trailer sono inclusi nel pacchetto gratuito.
