Another beautiful morning here on Negros Oriental Island I had to travel this morning to Bindoy for banking needs. Bindoy is one of the municipalities in Tañon Strait, one of the largest marine protected areas in the Philippines. In this explanatory video, local officials and fishers describe their marine conservation program that has become a model for other coastal towns. They show how the strategy of setting up managed access areas for licensed fishers, and enforcing the law in no-take zones inside marine sanctuaries, promotes sustainable fisheries. Bindoy began its partnership with Rare in 2010, and also adopted the Fish Forever program.

This is my first time to visit Dungaw in Malaga Bindoy, Negros Oriental. Our Original plan was to go to Dungaw in Bindoy, Negros Oriental, then we will have breakfast in Tayasan but we changed it to La Nieba in Pamplona. The total kilometers of this ride is around 149 km. This is our route: Dumaguete City (The starting point of the ride) - Bindoy - Pamplona - Back to Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental.
