This is a step by step instruction video showing How to Make the best diy hydroponics Super Cloner for Plant Cuttings. Water & nutrients are sprayed onto the stems of the cuttings. The mix of water & air is ideal for getting roots to grow. Music is from the You Tube Creator Studio. Edited with Filmora Wondershare video editing software (full license)
So I have a question about the clones. Do you put a dome over them or do you just put the bucket under a light.
You got me mate. Watched a few vids on this and yours is simply that. Simple. Thanks! The music got me, then you went into slomo.. In the words of Cheech Marin, taht was some good sh*t maan!
Are you using a dome on top of that? I’m definitely making this!!
Pump will heat the water here a the tropics at least. would you recommend a timer and how often spray?
what nutrients do you put in the water and what kind of cloning gel do you use? Thanks for the video!
I made a propogator exactly the same, but I used 1.5" ID rubber desk grommets, with the inside edges cut out and rockwool. It is leak proof, no trey needed. I even made a separate hole for the wire, while leaving the edges of the insert in, making it water tight enough that there is zero drip. Using this as a propagator gets me a big root for my seedlings in less than 48hours. Within 10 days they will be ready for a bucket, with enough root structure to survive adverse events.
What drill do I need to buy to make a hole?
Cool! I invented a similar device, but more simplified. I have one using a 3 gallon bucket and another 1 gallon bucket, using a large round airstone glued to the bottom of the smaller bucket, and one hydro spout glued in the larger bucket. I too made 2 inch holes but I dropped in net pots which I can use whatever medium I want or none at all and they still root vigorously! I also have 2 inch plastic covers with hole in the middle and a slit on the side ( to place or remove from plant stem) to cover the hole so no light gets in. I also use a clear plastic bowl from the Dollar store to cover the 3 gal, and a smaller one from a cake container for the 1 gallon to use as domes. Of course I use a cloning solution and low fluorescent light and I have 95 - 100% success rate. Cheers Brother!
What size of pump are you using to get the water flow you have?
Nice!! We're you get the plugs
What do you add to water ??
Where I can buy those orange pieces?
Hi bro, I still got issue with water dripping on the edge of my tube even though I already drilled the holes
Do you have any advice on this?
Does adding root hormone powder help or hurt if you add to this method? I was curious if it roots faster
Intresting build. I just use a cloning tray with a clear dome and heating mat. I have two that hold 60 cells each so I can pump out 120 clones at a time. Never have had an issues with it all these years.
Made 1 out of a fish pump and a hose with holes . It sprayed around the inside to the top of the lid with foam inserts. It took 3 days to form roots and 10 days to fully get roots to tranplant. It works really good and ill be doing it again next cloning.
great vid, but you gotta relevel your audio my dude
