Europe is a continent on the verge of downfall
It s really sad no one deserves to live in poverty but the world is a small place European policies and wars against others parts of the world has catch up to them and from now I really wish it don't get worse European nor any human being don't deserve this fate
Untrue , the current problems has just accelerated the change away from fossil fuels , industry , agriculture , financial sectors , all will have to change or disappear , nd Germany is too conservative to make the most of the changes

It is NOT very sunny in Europe. It is cloudy and dark ... the medieval times has the fame called the DARK AGES that is where Europe is heading... Importing from china solar panels is not possible and you need fossil fuel to produce Silicon crystals. The Carbon fiber for wind turbines need fossil fuels to produce them and most equipment used to produce these materials and infrastructures need fossil fuels...
Turn off or reduce lights in buildings, advertisements and street lights between 2 am and 6 am. Too many cities are lit up and wasting energy over night when most people are sleeping. Having motion detectors on lights could help. There is so little emphasis on practical conservation solutions.
An energy efficient home or business is more comfortable and saves money in the long run.
Solar energy on your roof combined with battery storage can make people more independent from the grid and natural gas supplies. Add solar and supplemental electric heating, infrared heating or a heat pump for home or business heating and cooling
All big box stores and manufacturing sites can support solar energy on their roofs or solar canopies on their parking lots.
Added insulation, double or triple glaze windows, energy efficient doors, energy efficient heating and cooling systems, energy efficient appliances, LED lighting, smart thermostats, solar panels combined with battery storage and a electric vehicle charger in the garage or car park. People are too focused on the short term costs and miss out on long term savings and comfort. Blower door testing and air sealing are under appreciated tools.Even if you have money to burn you should not waste it. Climate Change will impact everyone. Leave a better future for your children and grandchildren. Join in and speak up for the future of the planet

Russia’s gas supply to Europe decreased because of American sanctions, Europe was following, by cutting off their nose to spite their face, had the bloody idiots of Europe not followed the American sanctions, this problem could have been avoided.

I don't get it. Wasn't Germany shutting down nuclear plants a few years ago? Didn't the EU immediately put sanctions on Russia when the Ukraine-Russia war started? EU has only continued to put more sanctions and even placed a price cap on Russian gas which is one of their only LNG sources. Yea, EU is in an energy crisis, but they're part of the problem. Why didn't Bloomberg mention this?
