hi markos whats the drag pressure on muthos sonio?
Where are you fishing. Just curious 😅.as always beautiful videos
thx for this kind of important information....one question... would a bubbled dentex survive a release?
Σε ποια περιοχη εισαι μαρκο?
This is a good video and great to see some attention being placed on not only how to catch, but also on how to release fish, as you say Pelagics bleed allot, my rule is if there isn't blood you can release, but if there is allot of blood as you showed, it's probably not worth releasing. But for all other species, Leerfish, dentex, amberjack, grouper, barracuda, bluefish all can much easier be released, and also important to those who wish to release fish, is DO NOT just throw fish back in the water, this has a big risk of them simply sinking dying due to lack of oxygen, always hold a fish in the water move in back and forward (gently) to allow oxygen to pass over the gills, and you will feel it come back to life and when it starts to kick, it's ready to swim off .. Thanks for the video and education allot of anglers do not know anything about catch and release, it's an important part of todays SUSTAINABLE fishing if we want fish to be around for the future.
well explained Komsu !
That is the reason why after catching a fish that is legal size, I simply eat it. No waste,no unwanted kills,no release. To me that is the most respectable way to end a fight. Most of the people don t realize how stressful is for a fish to get pulled out of the water while they r struggling to survive. If you make an investigation, you will be surprised by the large amount of species that are caught for fun and die afterward. Sharks are one of them. U go on a boat that catches sharks for recreational purposes , and they catch a lot of sharks per day. Well the majority of caught sharks die after releasing them. Most of the anglers do recreational fishing and release fish to feel good with themselves and to appear politically correct. If you really care about environment, fish species and so on, catch less with the intention of eating afterward and you ll make no waste.
Many thanks Markos for this interesting video. You are the best!
