Arcane is incredibly stylistically inspired by clone wars
Nice
I love that little section on anticipation, because that’s exactly my favourite way to catch people off guard in video games, especially in VR. Set them up so they think you’re doing one thing, then do something entirely different. My fave variation on this is to just not even leave spawn

Nice. 😏

When I first watch Arcane I was like "holy crap this art style looks incredible" and I also felt the same with Spider-Man into the spider-verse and that was a completely different style.
was so arcane good love it

We need more stuff like this. it is beautiful, and almost like Invincible in that it's almost R rated. I almost prefer animation to live action bc you're not constrained by what's physically possible, some stories just can't be told through live action. THis and SPiderverse are good examples. film and tv is so focused on making it look photoreal, when that was never the point. the point was to make art, and art doesn't have to look photoreal. From a writing standpoint, this show is just a masterpiece. there's like over 80 analysis videos on this one show, each one covering a diffferent aspect of the show. that's really saying something. truly an inspiration to all artists out there
What an amazing show. You don't really think about the details they point out like the anticipation of a punch or the flowing of hair, but because the animators did so well with the principle the show just flows so dang well. Also, nice.

Speaking about tiny details in the animations, I just noticed an interesting micro-movement in a minor cut: In episode 9, at about 7XQRQR2Ne54&t=35m50s 35:50 , where the camera moves over Sevika sitting on the couch, she moves around a little, and the tension in one of her legs when pushing against the floor makes the muscles in her thigh shiver just slightly.
All those tiny details...
