The 2023 BMW M4 CSL ($166,500 starting in Canada, $140,895 starting in the US) is both exclusive and expensive - meaning expectations are high. If people stop spending absurd money for mediocrity we would get such a superior product for less. Is this CSL mediocre? Well, no. But for the price, yes it is.

The entire BMW exterior design teams for all cars but the 3 series, the 5 series, and the 8 series need to be fired. All the other cars look so hideous with the massive grilles. The kidney shaped grilles were so iconic and they are gone now. The 8 series is ok but the latest cars in the 3 series lineup (except the M3) and the 5 series lineup (including the M5) I think are the most beautiful BMWs ever made in terms of exterior design.

It’s not that much better it’s just has better tires which matter a lot on lap times. Put cup2R’s on a gt500 and watch that lap time change

I will say one thing whomever copies the grill form the Limited edition CSL the "homage car" will be bloody rich as it has fixed this cars horrid face! A factory fix for the ugly at that!

I like BMW's,... but that grille design is butt ugly and It won't ever be good looking. I'd rather have a Corvette Z06 or C7 ZR1 for that type of money,....
