40 MINUTE KRAUT RANT RESPONSE WHEN
I like your content but you know why people like kraut are more popular than you ? It’s really yourself.
You are to full of yourself man ^^ You’re trying to ridicule kraut to arrogantly … instead of simply being polite and share your ideas…
Wait, so you actually believe in the Xinjiang Genocide accusation?
Kraut is probably pretty aware his ideas are not his own. He just mediates them. I wouldn't put too much trust in a channel called Mo'Freedom Foundation.
The view some western and Americans have towards some middle powers countries is what always Did*gusts me....The countries that can't take on West but can't also be destroyed by them...They hate them the most and will call every ill towards them..Blame them for every wrong and call them Terr*orists ...Western viewers love weak ass 🐈s. That want an American base and let America play as it likes.
The silk road was open for almost 2000 years...are you sure here?
Thank you for this. I only recently discovered Kraut's channel – had only heard of him in a psychotic dicussion of the Ukraine war with equally disturbed youtuber Adam Something – and found the videos interesting, BUT listening to his takes, I kept having this weird gut feeling of "Ok, source…?" and you address that perfectly, in my opinion.
I actually found your channel after trying to watch Kraut try to destroy Chomsky and instantly typing "Kraut criticism" into the search bar, where your video about that came up. I was very glad it did, as I was somewhat infuriated by Kraut's video having half a mil views and solely yay-sayers in the comments, even though he didn't say anything you aren't already hearing ALL THE TIME on the Western mainstream media outlet of your choice.
I would like to know your credentials as it seems that struggling to watch essays because they are so long seems to me that you are not a very credible person that actually reads their sources fully and thoroughly. You make an effort to "debunk" certain historical aspects in your critique of Kraut's video which I find problematic since I have been active in historical academia for a couple of years now and the claims that you make that Kraut's historical claims are completely false is just not true. Again I would like to know if you have a degree of some sorts in history, and where you get your sources from, because as opposed to popular belief, as much as you cannot make a historical claim without any sources, you also cannot refute points without referencing sources and not in that same breath maintain that you have the intellectual high ground. Just calling something fake does not make it so you have to back that up with sources or mention that you are an authoritative figure in the matter. I especially found your mentioning of the world not being connected before the modern age to be questionable and I recommend you read the book "The Human web: a Bird's-eye view of World History" by John Robert McNeill and William H. McNeill, which has been part of the university curriculum for a couple of years now in my university, it argues that the world may have been far more connected than we have previously thought due to our modern day perspective on cultural and commercial connectivity.
Again I do not want to come across too hard but it would be good to have your credentials in the about section on your channel as it is hard to believe your critique on the video when I do not know if you are speaking from a position of authority, because right now it just looks like an argument of "think for yourself" and "trust me bro".
Thanks for giving some perspective on Kraut’s work. As a researcher of middle and neo-Latin, I was actually waiting for you to make another point about the Latin-diplomacy issue: before French (which would take the role before English), Latin was the lingua franca of European science, politics and diplomacy. E.g. for Germany, it was only after 1600 that more books started being printed in German than in Latin, and Latin as a means of communication remained in use for far longer (consider that after 1600, Jesuit literature and education started/kept booming). So Latin, though it might have been an example of late usage for the diplomacy example (I’m not even fully sure), was still absolutely to be expected in that age.
But. During the whole of your video, I was sure that since criticizing Kraut’s anti-China “fearmongering” was kinda curious after the recent developments in Ukraine and around Taiwan, you would surely include the latter within your video’s supposedly balanced approach in some way. I wanted to already comment mid-video, only to tell myself: nah, don’t be immature, watch the whole thing. But the only way you mentioned Taiwan, in a video defending China against the fear of imperialism, was when you claimed that the US were “kicking off a Taiwan crisis”. Sorry, what? This is so ridiculously one-sided that I’m close to calling it deceptive. Or even tankie-rhetoric, considering that your criticism of China’s misdeeds was as flimsy as German Leftists (to which I count myself!) criticism of Putin. Maybe your application of the word “US Empire” should have warned us.
The one video I like about kraut is when he talks about the corruption of Hungary’s right wing oligarchic government. That was neat.
That China video was also the First Kraut video I saw, and while it was undoubtably entertaining, BUT the things he say can be dubious at best and horrendously wrong at worst.
You mentioned how it’s difficult for you to watch Kraut’s videos beyond obvious mistakes. In the same vein, it would be far easier to hear what you have to say if you didn’t mix pointing out genuine mistakes with twisting his points to the point of a strawman.
the entire west is confronted with high inflation against china 2.7 infaltion rate, huge problems with the energy bills. could you please take a plane to romania so i can slap u silly. there also was this thing back in 2019 and some mass-vaccinations later you are saying that China(literally a name for a thing they had the monopoly on) swung and miss?
I love how you make Kraut's parrot look so menacing in the thumbnail
Overall, I thought the video raised several good points about Kraut's video. However, you completely lost me at Mj1tK8BOUr0&t=19m29s 19:29 where you said: "[The US] is busy slaughtering Russian troops in great numbers in a Ukrainian proxy war". This sentence feels hypocritical to me because you seem to be doing the exact thing you accused Kraut to be doing. You accuse Kraut of "pretending that China is the only power doing anything" ( Mj1tK8BOUr0&t=16m24s 16:24 ) while doing the exact same thing for the US with the prime example being your description of the Russo-Ukrainian war where you describe the US as "slaughtering Russian troops" while ignoring the fact that Russia attacked Ukraine in an attempt to gain more territory.
Yet Kraut gives a vision according with current reality. It is wrong the economic control on key assets by China? Greece? Portugal? Dang the ports near me are mostly Chinese now. Uhmm I would say that thanks to analysis like the one of Kraut those problems or risks are treated not thanks to you. I remember the year 2k scare and so similars. Nothing happened, of course, but we in IT did a lot of work to make sure nothing would happen. When there is no “scare” is when things happens to the surprise of all. You miss the main point. For some reason. Oh dear.
Mj1tK8BOUr0&t=19m29s 19:29 I’m sorry, but that’s just straight up russian propaganda and devoid of the context.
You, my friend, are a gem of a YouTube channel. Subbed and looking forward to more well-measured criticisms and other intriguing pieces of content.
