This car is not worth $26k.
Save money and buy the Impreza. It may be less fuel efficient and a tad slower but you will save money and have a more engaging driving experience.
For under $23k you can get a the Premium trim Impreza. The Honda Civic Sport is $24k but even slower than the Impreza.
The Mazda 3 Select trim is the best option if you like the interior which I am not a fan of. You will get a much quicker vehicle and based on C&D will get better than advertised fuel economy.
Buy the Mazda 3 for around $27k and you will thank yourself later. The Corolla still doesn't offer enough power after the upgraded engine replacing the under powered one.
If you want a Crossover go with the CX-30 or Subaru Cross trek 2.5
