Turns out I have one of those 1% devices that doesnt use SDA. MS Surface Pro 5 (2017) uses /dev/nvme0n1
try fyde os or chome os flex instalation is a lot easier

When i extract the chromeos folder, it only gives me one file, a bin file
Maybe it would be good to do an updated video on installing Chrome OS with Google Play. I tried doing an install by downloading the latest versions of everythiing done here, but it is no loger working. My laptop just says "Missing OS" after restarting. Everthing seemed to install ok using the guide here up to that point. For now, I am just using Chrome OS Flex on this machine. It runs Flex just fine. It would be nice to have access to the Google Play store though.
Everything went well and exactly as instructed. But at the end, I only get "Brunch (instead of Chrome OS) has been successfully installed...". Obviously it did not boot at the very end...it says Operating System Not Found....PLEASE HELP. I'm using a Acer Aspire 7745G-9823 running Intel i7🤔
Tried to do everything you said. It tries to install on my usb disk and not the internal disk. It runs out of space. I am using a 250gb external hard drive could that be the problem?
