🤍 Store with prints - 🤍 ABOUT THE HIKE In October 2022 I hiked a part of the Alta Via 2 route in the Dolimites, Italy. My route started at Passo Rodella (1870m) where I headed into the Peitlerkofelgruppe. I camped in Val della Roa just past Forcella della Roa (2617m). The second day I headed into the Puezgruppe and camped near the peak of Sass da Ciampac (2667m). Day 3 I headed down to Passo Gardena (2121m) and up into Gruppo del Sella into the fog. I passed Refugio Franco Cavazza al Piscidù (2587m) and headed through the snow to Refugio Boè without seeing a single person. On day 4 the weather had cleared and I headed down to Passo Pordoi from where I drove to Gruppo della Marmolada only to find out my originally planned route was closed off due to recent avalanche activity last summer. Plan B: I drove to Malga Ciapela, and headed up to Pas de Ombreta (2702m) on the backside of the Marmolada Gruppo. I spent the night at Bivacco Marco Dal Bianco. Day 5: Trail E650 to the peak Ombreta Orientale (3011m), then via the AV2 route to Passo de le Cirèle (2683m) and Passo San Pelligrino. On day 6 I headed to Passo Valles from whereI made my way to Bivacco Giorgio Brunner on the AV2 route, via Forcella Margherita (2655m) and Passo delle Farangole (2814m). Day 7 I merged back with the AV2, passed Refugio di Rosetta and Refugio Pradidali then headed up into the massif of Pale di San Martino Parco Naturale. I tried to reach another bivacco only to find out it was only reachable by a climbers route. Instead I wild camped on the (cold) plateau. On day 8 I headed to Passo delle Lede and down to Val Canali. From there I drove to the Tre Cime (Dreizinnen) where I spent my final night above the Dreizinnenhütte on Sasso di Sesto (2539m). Itinerary soon on 🤍 This trip is made possible by SOTO. 🤍 STORE WITH PRINTS - 🤍 The TRAVEL GUIDE of this trip with everything you need to know (getting there, trails, weather, bonus sections, camp regulation and sites, indoor overnights and more) available on THATCH: 🤍 ABOUT THE HIKE In May 2022 I solo hiked the Skye Trail on the Isle of Skye in Scotland. On this thru hike from the northern tip of the island south I encountered some of the worst weather I've ever had on a hike with days of rain and extreme wind. Just how I imagined Scotland to be. (; I started my hike at the red phone booth at Duntulm and hiked north to the bothy (wilderness hut) Rubha Hunish. I followed the cliffs south towards Flodigarry where I cut my day short when I spotted the perfect camp spot on top of a 50m high cliff above the ocean. From Flodigarry I went into the Quiraing passing by The Needle and then climbed the Trotternish Ridge. I followed the 30km ridge south in some of the worst weather I've ever had on a hike. Passing by the old man of Storr I made my way to Portree for a night indoors. The final 3 stages I went into the Cuillin hills via Glen Sligachan. I diverted from the 'official' Skye Trail by passing over the Black Cuillins to the majestic Loch Coruisk. I made my way along the coast merging with the official trail again at Camasunary bay. The last day I hiked the elevated trail to Elgol and the coastal section from Torrin to Broadford via the ruins of the Suisnish and Boreraig villages. Sponsored by Enlightened Equipment 🤍 Quilt 🤍 (mine: 950, 20ºF, Regular, Wide, Draft Collar, Forest 10D outside, Charcoal 10D inside) White wind jacket 🤍 (mine: Small, Tall, White Blaze 10D) Special thanks to Saleem from Quiet Desert Camp and the Zalabia Wadi Rum tribe for organizing the stay with the Bedouins and having me. Additional music by Serge Quadrado (Eastern Morning & Farewell from 🤍 Used with permission. 🤍 ABOUT THE HIKE In November 2022 I spent 4 days hiking alone in the Wadi Rum Desert in Jordan, then found myself among the Bedouins of the Zalabia tribe for 2 days. The Wadi Rum desert is the shooting location of many popular movies like The Martian, Dune and Star Wars because of its red sand and mountains miraculously shooting vertically out of the sand. My route started in Wadi Rum Village and after I spent the night at Quiet Desert Camp I started my hike. I passed around the Nassrani massif over the Red Sand Dunes to Anfaishiyya inscriptions. These inscriptions of camels, people, children and tools are some 2000 years old and inscribed by trading caravans, depicting their movement through the desert. I camped on top of the biggest sand dune in the area. On day 2 I made my way to Mushroom rock then via Abu Khashaba Canyon to the white desert where I spotted several loose (wild) camels. I got to my water drop I made a 2 days earlier with a jeep and camped near Burdah Rock Bridge On day 3 I visited Um Fourth, a large natural bridge and got back to the red desert where I camped on a rock formation in the middle of the desert. On day 4 I visited Khazali Canyon. At the entrance the walls are covered in inscriptions dating back up to thousands of years. The different types of Thamudic, Nabatean and Islamic inscriptions indicate people have been coming here for many eras. In the late afternoon I was driven into the desert by Saleem from Quiet Desert camp to spend 2 days with the actual Bedouins deep in the desert. I didn't speak Arabic, they didn't speak English. The day after they held an engagement celebration to which I was invited. I spent the day helping prepping: catching goats, setting up the tent, etc. The meal is a traditional meal called Mansaf. The shooting of the guns is a tradition for this celebration. Read the full story on 🤍 This trip is made possible by SOTO. I solo hiked and backpacked 100km in Picos De Europa national park. It's located in northern Spain near the spanish coast. Picos de Europa literally translated is 'Peaks of Europe' which is part of the Cantabrian mountains. This hike was a lot of times above the treeline and monstrous ascends and descends(in my opinion) compared to what I'm used to doing on hiking trips. I also do not recommend this hike to do with your dog. Gear - 🤍 A way to support me - 🤍 Follow stories of behind the scenes on Instagram - 🤍 #kraigadams #picosdeeuropa #solohiking

🤍 Store with prints from this video - 🤍 ABOUT THE HIKE In May 2022 I hiked 65-km on the South Loch Ness Trail in the highlands along the majestic Loch in Scotland. Trails were easy, but extremely quite. I started my hike in Fort Augustus, where I hiked up to Loch Tarff, then down crossing the B862 where I found a quiet camping spot in an old forest along the creek. The second day I followed the route towards Whitebridge and Foyers. The section from Foyers to Inverfarigaig is a beautiful wild trail through the forest, but with limited views of the Loch. From Inverfarigaig there is a long climb on the backside of the hills towards Fair Haired Lad's Pass, the true highlight of the trail with views of almost the entire length of the Loch. The section downhill from the pass towards the Loch shore is beautiful, with great views of the Loch, and thru forested sections. At reaching the Loch, I pitched my tent on the Loch's shore. The third day I followed the Loch banks to Dores, then continued the last section over the ridge (without views of the Loch) to the end of the trail just outside Inverness. In August 2020 I went for a hike on the famous long distance trail "Traumpfad", starting in Munich and finish in Venice. An epic 26 days trail across the Alps, ascends over 20,000 meters (65,000 feet). I skipped the two first days of flat land and started in Bad Tölz. My goal was to cross the Alps from Germany thru Austria to Italy. My grandpa has always been one of my biggest inspirations, and I wanted him to "experience" how the journey went. SOLO OVERNIGHT CAMPING IN THE RAIN - RELAXING IN THE TENT WITH THE SATISFYING SOUND OF NATURE - ASMR

Solo Overnight Camping on a tad Rainy Day while relaxing to the satisfying sounds of nature. For my sixth camping, I went to a forest where I shot my very first camping video, it wasn't the exact same spot I camped, I would say about a kilometer away. The hike was surprisingly sunny, considering that it has been raining almost every day for the last 6 months! It was making the hike even harder, but I find it very oddly satisfying when hiking on a rainy day. The feeling of occasional seclusion might be scary or at least uneasy for some but the therapeutic like feeling of being alone is like one of the best feeling sometimes. The campsite is about 18 kilometers away from the nearest civilization. But you can occasionally hear a very faint noise of trail bikers whose trail is about 5-6 kilometers away. The rain was not falling early this time, but I must admit that I missed it. Camping in the rain and Outdoor Cooking has always been my top favorite part of any journey. The very satisfying and very relaxing sound of the raindrops landing on the tent was very therapeutic to the soul. On this single day in a month to unwind from the rushed life of the city. Sleeping in the calm sound of the crickets and whistling calm winds is also the unforgettable highlight of the trip. Truly relaxing to the body and soul that almost instantly release anxiety and stress. I can say a lot of things how beautiful being along is sometimes and all that. This might be ASMR Camping to others, but it is not to some, it's their opinion. A lot has asked why I do not talk at all. Some might find it better, but feeling the nature online might be better without hearing a thing other than nature. To make things a little less annoying. No talking for the whole vid. Hope you liked my weekend adventure. - La Adventura Liza #asmr #camping #rain #solocamping #asmrrain #asmrsounds #soundsofnature #campinglife #soundsofcamping #tent #heavyrain #rainstorm #thunderstorm #cooking

There's something magical about central Australia. The vibrant red sands, desert plains and sacred waterholes contrast yet compliment each other like nowhere else I've been. Out on the trail there was this incredible sense of isolation. On one level it felt like it was just me and the sound of my boots on the loose gravel, one step after another. But then this feeling, this knowing that there was more out there than what meets the eye. Maybe that's why it is fast becoming a world renowned multi day trek. It left me chasing more adventure, more nights under the stars. Madeira is a Portuguese island located in the Atlantic Ocean, which is geographically closer to Africa than mainland Portugal. It has a friendly temperature all year round and not without reason is it called an island of never-ending spring. Sometimes you even hear comparisons to Hawaii. I visited Madeira with one main goal. I wanted to experience this beautiful island a little differently to an ordinary tourists, so I decided to cross it on foot. Tom’s Outdoors presents 'Wake Up and Walk'. A documentary short film following Dominic Erbacher’s 23 day, 700km Australian Alps Walking Track thru-hike and the ups and downs of solo hiking. The AAWT is the oldest long-distance walking trail in Australia. The track traverses 680 kilometres of Australian alpine through Victoria, NSW and ACT. On the 26th of February, Dom left the historic Victorian town, Walhalla, arriving in Tharwa on the outskirts of Canberra early on the morning of the 20th of March. Leeches, snakes, scarce water, injuries, unmarked terrain, steep climbs, blisters and inclement weather threatened to unravel the journey. Stick fishing, ever-changing vistas, rewarding summits, trail magic and friendships made along the way were just a few of the better moments. Regardless of the lows and in pursuit of the highs, the daily purpose became as simple as wake up and walk. A simple, yet astounding notion. But, we are reminded that it’s valuing time outdoors that makes a hike. Not the kilometres walked, the peaks climbed or the nights camped. “Wherever you go and however you go about it, make it your own.” Stats and gear can be found here: 🤍 The uncut hike journal: 🤍 Who are Tom's Outdoors? We're a small family-owned and operated retail store in the NSW Snowy Mountains town of Tumut. Living in Tumut allows us to live and breathe what we sell. Our range of high-quality camping, hiking and fly fishing gear (and more) is from brands we know and trust. Want to see more? Join the adventure on: Facebook - 🤍 Instagram - 🤍 Need gear? Shop - 🤍

Just relax. You are not insane. Vlog 190 - Subscribe For More! This adventure I hike the bomber traverse alone. Its a hike located near Hatcher Pass Alaska. I decided to start on the Gold Mint trail side and hike the 9.5 miles back to the Mint hut. The next morning I got up pretty early and hiked up to the backdoor gap and then down pennyroyal glacier to the bomber hut. It took me about 4 hours to hike the 4+ miles to bomber hut. When I got there the weather was still good, so I decided to push onward to the snowbird hut, which is about another 4+ miles. I got to the snowbird hut right on time cause is started to down pour right when I arrived. I stayed the night at the hut and then hiked out the next day. It was about 8.5 miles from the snowbird hut back to the goldmint trail head. The total trip was about 26 miles.
