V-Ray | How to use MEGASCANS | QUIXEL Bridge


In this tutorial you will learn how transfer assets from Quixel Megascans to an offline renderer such as V-Ray. We will use Quixel Bridge to explore the Megascans asset library. After installing the dedicated plugin we can then transfer all geometry data and all included maps into our 3d software of choice. We will make sure that the geometry data loads correctly and then explore ways how to add all the scanned detail by using either normalmaps or displacement maps. Afterwards we will build a simple shading network in 3ds Max and V-Ray where we will connect all the scanned maps on the right positions and then finalize our asset. I am using 3ds Max and V-Ray 5 in this demo but you can also use the same techniques for older versions such as V-Ray NEXT and V-Ray 3. A similar workflow can also be used in other software such as Cinema4d, Maya, Blender and different kind of render engine such as Corona, Octane, Redshift, Arnold, Cycles, CyclesX, Eevee and countless others. ¿Quieres saber cómo crear rápidamente una calle en Unreal Engine 5 usando Quixel Megascans? En este tutorial aprenderás a utilizar assets realistas para diseñar un escenario en menos de 15 minutos ¡No te lo pierdas! ¡Espero que te sea útil y si tienes dudas, no dudes en dejarlas en los comentarios del video! ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ FAQ: PREGUNTAS FRECUENTES - ¿Puedo cambiar la carpeta de descargas?: Sí, pulsa simplemente en el icono de la esquina superior derecha y selecciona "preferences" para establecer una nueva carpeta de descargas. - ¿Por qué no me aparece la opción de Quixel Bridge?: Lo primero es ir a "Settings ➡️ Plugins" y comprueba que "Bridge" esté activado. Si no te aparece el plugin, tienes que ir a tu Bibliotea en Epic Games, donde tienes tu colección de assets, busca "Quixel Bridge" y selecciona "Instalar en el motor". Luego activa el plugin como en el primer paso. Otra solución, es dentro del launcher de Epic Games, al lado del botón de iniciar de Unreal, en la flecha, seleccionar "Establecer actual". Si no, también puedes probar ir a la carpeta de instalación de Unreal "Epic/UE_5.0/Engine/Plugins" y busca una carpeta llamada "MegascansPlugin" y elimínala (haz una copia antes si quieres). FIX Quixel Bridge Import to C4D S26 Redshift 3.5.X


Hello everyone, this short video should help you fix the issue with Quixel Bridge Cinema 4D plugin not importing properly into S26 R25 using Redshift 3.5.X. Download the amended MSLivelink 🤍 Direct Download for MSLivelink 🤍 Standard Material Version 🤍 * How to remove Quixel Bridge C4D Plugin completely 🤍 User Guide to Megascan Plugin for Cinema 4D 🤍 The way it works is that bridge uses Megascan Livelink plugin to connect all the textures in Redshift. and if that is outdated it creates errors. So whenever you are updating to new Redshift you are at risk of broken Quixel Bridge. As you can see on Quixel Help page last update is 9 months ago and plugin is actually officially supported up to version 24. What to do when you run latest redshift in Cinema 4D version 25 and version 26 is to go Redshift Forum link down below and first say Thanks to user Mindex who amended the script so that it works in newer versions. After you download the file you can head to C4D Edit Preferences - Preferences folder - This will open the folder with the folder of your current version highlighted go inside and go to plugins and there it is MSLiveLink in here you need to replace the file f Only sacrifice you will have to make is to deselect again use node materials for presets in Redshift settings as it doesnt work with that. Otherwise you are good to go and your Cinema 4D works with Quixel Bridge Again This fix definitely worked for me and that is why decided to share it. I am on the latest Redshift and Cinema 4D and I can still use bridge. If you still have issues I would uninstall the bridge completely and install that agan and then replace the livelink. I would also close the C4D and Bridge whenever you manipulate the livelink or manually deleting the old plugin. All the links are in the description so I hope it helps to you. Choose any asset in the bridge. 2. In the export settings, select the blender from the list and download the extension. 3. Go to the Bridge library folder (...\Bridge\support\plugins\blender\3.*) 4. MSPlugin is packed in a zip archive 5. Open the blender settings (Edit/Preferences/add-ons) 6. Click the install button 7. Go to the Bridge library folder (...\Bridge\support\plugins\blender\3.*) and select our zip archive 8. Activate the installed plugin and restart the blender 9.
