Here is the way I like to satisfy my craving for tender, juicy and smokey BBQ ribs, when I don't feel like smoking ribs on a pit. I slow cook them in the oven and sauce them with easy homemade barbecue sauce. It doesn't matter which type of ribs you enjoy, because this recipe will work with baby back, spare, and St. Louis style ribs! ­⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️ CLICK FOR RECIPE ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️ _ PRINTABLE RECIPE: 🖨️ 🤍 🖨️ 🍴🍴🍴🍴🍴🍴🍴🍴🍴 ✅Ingredients • 2 racks baby back ribs, spareribs, or St. Louis-style ribs • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika • 1 teaspoon salt • 1 teaspoon black pepper • 1 teaspoon onion powder • 1 teaspoon garlic powder • 1 teaspoon ground mustard • 1 cup barbecue sauce ✅Instructions 1️⃣ Preheat oven to 275 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet or roasting pan with aluminum foil. 2️⃣ Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs. Just slide your fingers around the side to loosen it up and rip it right off. Use a paper towel to provide a better grip if slippery. 3️⃣ In a small bowl, stir together the ingredients for the dry rub, paprika, salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and ground mustard. Rub this mixture generously over the outside of the ribs to coat. Place seasoned ribs in a single layer onto prepared baking sheet or roasting pan. 4️⃣ Cover pan with aluminum foil. Cook in the preheated 275F degree oven for 3 1/2 to 4 hours until ribs are tender. 5️⃣ Remove ribs from oven and remove aluminum foil. Brush barbecue sauce onto ribs. 6️⃣ Place the baking sheet or roasting pan back into the oven underneath the broil setting. Download it today: 🤍 Subscribe to Food Network: 🤍 Get the recipe: 🤍 Who Loves Ya Baby Back Ribs Recipe courtesy of Alton Brown Total: 4 hr 35 min Active: 1 hr 10 min Yield: 2 slabs ribs Level: Intermediate Ingredients 2 whole slabs pork baby back ribs Dry Rub: 8 tablespoons light brown sugar, tightly packed 3 tablespoons kosher salt 1 tablespoon chili powder 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper 1/2 teaspoon jalapeno seasoning 1/2 teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning 1/2 teaspoon rubbed thyme 1/2 teaspoon onion powder Braising Liquid: 1 cup white wine 2 tablespoons white wine vinegar 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce 1 tablespoon honey 2 cloves garlic, chopped Directions Preheat oven to 250 degrees. In a bowl, combine all dry ingredients and mix well. Place each slab of baby back ribs on a piece of heavy-duty aluminum foil, shiny side down. Sprinkle each side generously with the dry rub. Pat the dry rub into the meat. Refrigerate the ribs for a minimum of 1 hour. In a microwavable container, combine all ingredients for the braising liquid. Microwave on high for 1 minute. Place the ribs on a baking sheet. Open one end of the foil on each slab and pour half of the braising liquid into each foil packet. Tilt the baking sheet in order to equally distribute the braising liquid. Braise the ribs in the oven for 2 1/2 hours. Transfer the braising liquid into a medium saucepot. Bring the liquid to a simmer and reduce by half or until of a thick syrup consistency. Brush the glaze onto the ribs. Place under the broiler just until the glaze caramelizes lightly. Slice each slab into 2 rib bone portions. Place the remaining hot glaze into a bowl and toss the rib portions in the glaze. Let’s go eat! #BBQ #Phoenix #Arizona As soon as you enter JL Smokehouse you know it’s laid back and unique. JL as he calls himself, is the pitmaster, and knows his bbq. Although he offers brisket, chicken, sausages and an assortment of meats, his southern style bbq pork ribs and pulled pork are the true highlights and something you don’t want to miss. “I have the best pulled pork in the country,” says Lewis, and when you see how the entire pork shoulder melts on the smoker, you know it’s special. Before serving it, they chop it up coarsely and then squeeze on a generous amount of their legendary bbq sauce. I ordered the slugger combo plate, which included six different bbq meats and a few sides, plus I got an entire rack of pork ribs. JL showed me how he seasons the ribs with his own recipe dry rub, then smokes the ribs bone side down - never ever flipping them over. This chinese style braised pork ribs recipe makes the most tender ribs it will literally fall apart in your mouth upon the slightest touch. Typical chinese aromats and sauces work in perfect harmony with all the flavours absorbed into both pork ribs as well as potatoes, which helps to create a wonderful gravy allowing the dish to be eaten as a stew. Delicious with steamed rice. 0:00 Intro 0:10 Fry ginger and garlic 0:19 Add pork ribs and brown the outside 0:36 Add sauces and seasonings 0:58 Add potato and water 1:08 Braise until tender 1:25 Add garnish 1:38 Ready to enjoy - The full recipe is below - 500g pork ribs 1 potato, peeled and cut into chunks 4 slices ginger 3 cloves garlic, smashed 1 tbs soy sauce 1 tbs black vinegar ½ tbs dark soy sauce 10 dried chilli ½ cinnamon stick 1 star anise 30g rock sugar ½ tsp salt ¼ tsp white pepper ½ tbs sesame oil 1 stalk spring onion, sliced Hot water Vegetable oil Fry ginger and garlic in vegetable oil on medium heat for 1-2 mins until fragrant. Increase heat to medium high and add pork ribs. Fry for around 5 mins until browned on all sides. Reduce heat to medium and add soy sauce, black vinegar, dark soy sauce, dried chilli, cinnamon stick, star anise, rock sugar, salt, and white pepper. Stir until ribs are well coated in the sauce. Add potato and enough hot water to cover all the ingredients. Bring to the boil then cover and cook for 30 mins. Stir occasionally to ensure nothing has stuck to the bottom. After 30 mins, remove cover and cook for another 15 mins to reduce the sauce. Turn off the heat, add sesame oil and spring onion. The pork ribs and potato are very tender at this point so stir through gently until combined. Don't make the ribs too thick or the pork belly might end up too thin. For a full spare rib, start by scoring the rib section and then remove the membrane (unlike beef ribs because they're much larger - see the beef rib video for more detail here 🤍 🤍 Meat hooks are here. 4:45 - Same thing, different side, time for St Louis ribs or St Louis Style ribs. Everything is the same as spare ribs, but in this case, you'll cut right through the soft cartilage leaving you with all bones and meat. These are very similar. 7:10 - Pork baby back ribs and country style ribs are next. If you do opt to cut country style ribs, you'll end up with a shorter rack of baby back ribs. It's all in your preference. Start by removing a lot of the excess fat from the pork loins. Then, you'll remove the pork tenderloin. The pork sirloin comes off next. Similar to the spare ribs, you can leave as much or as little meat on the ribs. More meat on the baby back ribs means less meat for your pork chops. 9:44 - Imagine a bone in pork loin, the bones are actually the bones that would've been removed for baby back ribs. 9:55 - Cut off the bottom of the vertebrae. With the vertebrae gone, you'll easily be able to cut through each rib after you smoke it. Now, grab your meat hooks and remove the membrane. 10:50 - Loin number, how to cut a country style rib. Count over 4 ribs on the loin and then cut that section off and remove the vertebrae. This is the portion of the pork loin closest to the pork shoulder. Trim out the blade bone. Cut between each bone and you should have 4 delicious country style ribs from each half of your pig. From here you can also make boneless short ribs. Cover a large baking sheet with foil and place the ribs in the oven for 2 hours and 45 minutes at 350F with the oven rack set close to center. After 2.5 hours check for desired tenderness using the toothpick method show in the video. At 2 hours and 45 minutes it was time for me to remove the ribs, then I set the oven to 450F, and coated the ribs with barbecue sauce. Return the ribs to the oven for 6min at 450F. Keep and eye on the bbq spare ribs during this time, as we DO NOT want to let them burn. Remove and let them rest for a few. This is a great time to take pictures and brag to your friends! These are better than slow cooker ribs and instant pot ribs. Believe me....there is nothing wrong with meat in the oven! I love this St Louis spare ribs recipe and so will you! These oven baked spare ribs were absolutely perfect in every aspect. Got the winter blues? Remove membrane from back of the ribs with a paper towel for extra grip. Apply thin layer of liquid smoke and then mustard. Season with all purpose seasoning, smoked paprika, and BBQ Seasoning on both sides and edges. Place ribs on wire rack and then into the oven for 2.5 hours. Remove ribs from oven and wrap tightly in foil after applying honey, brown sugar, and butter. Add 1/4 cup of liquid (beer, broth, or juice) to the foil. Place wrapped ribs in the oven for 2 hours or until almost fall off the bone tender. Remove from the foil, warm BBQ sauce, and coat ribs evenly in sauce. Place back in the oven for 15 minutes. Allow ribs to rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing.
