Learn the rules to the playing card game Rummy quickly and concisely - This video has no distractions, just the rules. While there are many variations to the Rummy game, this video covers the original base rules. Don't own cool and unique playing cards? The object of each hand is to get rid of all the cards in your hand. Setup. Using a standard deck of playing cards, with kings high and aces low, each player draws 1 card and the player with the lowest card is the first dealer. If there is a tie, try again. The dealer shuffles then deals based on the number of players: 10 cards for 2 players, 7 cards for 3 to 4 players, or 6 cards for 5 to 6 players. Players look at their own cards but keep them hidden from their opponents. The remaining cards are placed face down on the table, forming the “stock”. Discard top card of the stock faceup to form a discard pile. Beginning with the player to the left of the dealer and proceeding clockwise, each player’s turn begins by pickup one card from either the stock or the discard pile and adding it to their hand. If at any point in the game the stock pile runs out, the discard pile is shuffled to form a new stock pile. The last card in the new stock pile becomes the first card in the discard pile. After adding a card to your hand you have two optional plays: Melding and Laying Off. You make a meld by either having three or more of a kind or by having three or more of a run. A run is cards of the same suit in increasing or decreasing order. When you make a meld you must lay it face up on the table. Melding is optional and can only be done once a turn. You may also “lay off” during your turn by adding one or more cards from your hand to any meld already on the table. Laying Off is optional and there is no limit to the number of cards you can lay off. When you are finished melding and laying off you end your turn and must discard one card, face up, onto the discard pile. If you had drawn from the discard pile, you may not discard the same card you drew on that turn. The next player clockwise goes. When one player gets rid of all of the cards in their hand, all players stop and the player who went out receives points for the remaining cards in other player’s hands. Face cards are worth 10 points each, aces are worth 1, and numbered cards are worth their number. A player goes "rummy" when they get rid of all the cards in their hand in one turn, without having previously melded or laid off any cards. In this event, they receive twice as many points. The hand is now over. The role of dealer rotates clockwise by one and a new hand is dealt. This process repeats until a player reaches a predetermined point total or until you play a predetermined number of hands, at which time, the player with the most points wins. Learn the rules to the playing card game Spit quickly and concisely - This video has no distractions, just the rules. While there are many variations to Spit, this video covers the original base rules. Don't own cool and unique playing cards? Pick up a deck here and don't forget to use my promo code from the video for 10% off: 🤍 amazon.es - 🤍 amazon.de - 🤍 amazon.fr - 🤍 amazon.it - 🤍 amazon.nl - 🤍 amazon.se - 🤍 amazon.pl - 🤍 amazon.com.br - 🤍 amazon.sg - 🤍 amazon.au - 🤍 amazon.co.jp - 🤍 (As an Amazon Affiliate, I earn from qualifying purchases) RULES: The objective of this 2-player card game is to be the first player to get rid of all of your cards. Pick a dealer who shuffles a standard 52 card deck of playing cards and then deals out all the cards to the players, one at a time. Each player takes their cards and deals them out into 5 stock piles with the first stock pike containing 1 card, the 2nd stock pile containing 2 cards, the 3rd three, the 4th four, and the 5th five. Flip over the top card of each stock pile face up. Each player places their remaining cards face down next to them to form their spit cards, which they may not look at. Once both players are ready, they each say “spit” and simultaneously flip the top card of their spit cards, face up to the center of the table between them, forming 2 separate spit piles. There are no turns, all play happens simultaneously. Using only one hand, and moving only one card at a time, you can play your face up cards from the top of your stock piles onto either spit pile. To do so, the card’s rank must be either 1 higher or 1 lower than the top visible card. Suite and color do not matter. An ace is higher than a king and lower than a 2, so either a king or 2 may be played on an ace. When a stock pile’s top card is face-down, flip that card face up. If you have an empty stock pile, you may move any face up card into that empty space. You can never have more than five stock piles. Once you completely place a card in a move, you may not undo that play and you must play if possible. If no player can make a play, then both players say “spit” and simultaneously flip 1 card from their spit cards face up onto their originally played spit pile and play continues. Once one player has played all their stock cards, they slap either spit pile with their hand and the round ends. That slapping player collects the cards they slapped, regardless of how few cards there might be, and add them to their spit cards while their opponent adds the other spit pile and their remaining stock piles to their spit cards. Both players shuffle their cards and deal out another round the same as before. Once one player has fewer than 15 cards, that player will not be able to deal a complete set of stock piles. In this case, that player deals the cards into five stock piles as far as they will go, and turns over the top card of each. However, that player can no longer spit, so there will only be one spit pile, started by the other player. Then, when that single spit pile is slapped, the other player will collect those cards. The first player to completely run out of cards is the winner.

Be aware that there are many variations and house rules to this game, so you should agree on them before starting. Shuffle a standard 52 card deck of playing cards and each player picks one card. The player with the lowest card becomes the dealer. King is high and ace is low. The dealer shuffles the deck and deals 5 cards 1 at a time to each player. Players look at their own cards but keep them hidden from their opponents. The dealer places the deck facedown to form a draw deck and discards the top card to start the discard pile. If the flipped card is an 8, the 8 is to the deck and a new card is flipped. The player to the left of the dealer goes first, then play proceeds clockwise. On your turn you must play a single card onto the discard pile that matches either the rank or suit of the top card. The only exception to this is an 8. 8’s are wild and can be played on anything. When you play an eight, pick a suit. The next card played must either match the picked suit or be another 8. If you are unable to play, then you must draw cards from the draw deck until you can play or once you have drawn 5 cards, whichever comes. Once a player gets rid of all of their cards, the round is over and points are tallied. Player’s receive points based on the cards remaining in their hand. 8s are worth 50 points. Face cards are worth 10 points. Numbered cards are worth their face value, and aces are worth 1. Gather up all the cards and the role of dealer rotates clockwise by one. Once 1 player has 100 points or more, the game ends and the player with the fewest points wins.

Learn the rules to the card game War quickly and concisely - This video has no distractions, just the rules. Setup. Suffle a standard deck of playing cards, with jokers, and deal out all the cards. Each player picks up their deck and simultaneously flips the top card face up in front of themselves. Compare the two cards and the player with the highest ranking card collects both cards in a personal face up discard pile. Joker is the highest rank, followed by ace then king all the way down to 2. If you run out of cards in your deck, turn your collected cards face down, shuffle and continue playing. If you both flip over identical cards of the same rank, this is called a “war”. Each player lays 3 cards facedown, staggered on top of their faceup card, then each player flips 1 card face up. Compare the new face up cards played and the player with the higher rank wins all the cards in the war, including the face down ones. If, however, the cards tie again, then you have another “war”. Place down another 3 cards, and continue the process until there is a winner. If a player doesn’t have 3 cards to place down because they ran out of cards in their deck and discard, then they lose the war. The first player to collect all the cards in the deck, wins!

Poker is a game of strategy. You'll need to constantly read the other players to decide when to hold 'em, when to fold 'em, when to bluff, and when to call someone else’s bluff. There are many variations of poker, but Texas Hold'Em is the most popular. While each variation has its own rules, the basics of the game are always the same. All you have to do is master the basics - then you can start developing your own winning strategy! 0:00 Learning the 10 poker hands 1:46 What do you do if two people have the same hand? 2:05 How to play the Texas Hold 'Em variant We've included some products we think are useful for viewers. Subscribe to wikiHow's Weekly Newsletter for more helpful how-to's: 🤍 - Before you get started playing any type of 5-card poker, you’ll need to learn the 10 ways to win. In order from lowest to highest, they are: 1. High card. 2. Pair of cards, like two 2s. 3. Two pairs of cards, like two 5s and two 9s. 4. Three of a kind, like three 4s. 5. Straight, which is five cards in sequential order. For example, a player might have a 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 of any suit. 6. Flush, which is when a player has five cards of the same suit in any order. For example, a player might have a 2, 7, 10, Jack, and Queen of spades. 7. Full house, which is when a player has a pair and a three of a kind. 8. Four of a kind, like all four Aces. 9. Straight flush, which is when you have five cards in sequential order of the same suit. For example, a player might have a 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 of clubs. 10. Royal Flush, which is a straight flush containing a 10, Jack, Queen, King, and Ace. If two people have the same hand, the person with the higher cards wins. Here's #howto play Texas Hold’Em: • You’ll first need to bet your “ante,” which is your “buy in bet” to play the round. The ante is usually a small bet, like $1 or $5, and it’s decided by the table. • Once everyone has bet their ante, the dealer will deal two cards to each player. Keep these cards secret from everyone else. • Now, every player will take a look at their cards and choose whether or not to bet. Whenever there’s a betting round, you can choose to “fold,” which means not playing this round, “check,” which means matching their bet, or “raise,” which means adding more money to the betting pool. • Players that are unwilling to “check” a bet have to fold; and if everyone but one player “folds,” that player wins! • Once everyone has bet, the dealer will reveal three cards. These cards are known as the “flop.” When you see the flop, start planning what hand you want to make, keeping in mind that there are still two more cards to be revealed. For example, are your cards both diamonds, and did the flop include two diamond cards? In that case, you might want to aim for a flush, which is when you have five cards of the same suit. • After the flop, everyone has the chance to bet again, before the dealer reveals the next card, which is the “turn.” • Bet again if you want to, then the dealer will reveal the “river,” which is the last card. • At this point, you’ll see a total of 7 cards: two in your hands, and five on the table. Now, players will bet once last time, then everyone will reveal their hand. Your goal is to create the highest hand possible out of those seven cards, even if it means only using one card from your hand and four cards from the table. • The player with the best hand wins!
