Para realizar la meditación, como siempre, te recomiendo que tengas en cuenta algunos aspectos importantes: 1. Comprométete al inicio contigo mismo o misma para poner todo tu empeño en el ejercicio. 2. Si en algún momento la mente se despista y te descubres pensando en otras cosas, simplemente regresa al ejercicio en cuando lo descubras, con amabilidad y disciplina. 3. Si te entra el sueño, haz todo lo posible por no dormirte no ceder a las "manipulaciones" de la mente. A la mente no le gusta nada que le digas lo que tiene que hacer y uno de sus trucos es provocarte sueño. Para evitarlo, abre los ojos o muévete cuando sientas que te estás durmiendo. Practicar este ejercicio con cierta regularidad, te ayudará a practicar la atención consciente. Es igual que cuando vamos al gimnasio... los músculos no se desarrollan solos y la capacidad de atención mental tampoco. Requiere tiempo, compromiso, paciencia y disciplina. Often when people think about mindfulness they imagine someone sitting on a cushion alone in a room with their eyes closed. Sometimes that IS what mindfulness practice looks like, and sitting with your eyes closed in this way has great benefits… but mindfulness is also so much more. Mindfulness is a way to approach everyday life that makes living more enjoyable and less stressful. You can apply mindfulness to everything you do, whether you are eating, walking, or sitting in class. Mindfulness is a choice that you can make at any moment. Mindfulness can help you better understand how you feel and what you are experiencing. It is about being aware of the present moment, instead of replaying the past or worrying about the future. Mindful awareness means being aware, with kindness. It’s about being engaged in everyday life. Choosing to be nice to yourself and others in the present moment, and bringing an open awareness to all moments, whether those moments are pleasant, neutral, or maybe even unpleasant. Bringing to that awareness some curiosity and kindness, instead of judgement and criticism. You may be surprised at what you learn if you are curious and kind. This does not mean that you need to be meditating. You just need to be paying attention on purpose, with a little friendliness. This can help you with stress, or anxiety, or even sadness. It helps you focus on what is happening right now, because worrying about the future, or the past all the time can be exhausting. Practicing paying attention, in a kind way, to little things, can help train your mind so you can develop more ease across your life. Anything can be levelled up with mindfulness. Here are some examples of ways you can be mindful in everyday life. Right now, you might be sitting in a chair watching this video on your phone – how heavy does your phone feel in your hand? What parts of your hand is the phone touching? Is your phone hot? Warm? Or maybe cool? Are you sitting down? What parts of your body are being supported by the chair? If you are standing can you feel which parts of your feet are connected to the ground, Or where you are placing the weight of your body on your feet? This is all mindfulness! Or maybe, when you are talking with someone, instead of listening to them so that you can give them a response, or answer them, listen with the goal of understanding them better. This is a little change that can make a big difference in a conversation. The trick is not to automatically react to what you are paying attention to. Just notice what body sensations and emotions come up. Notice your reactions or judgement because there will be judgement, just try not to judge how judgmental you might be! There is no right or wrong, just noticing what is happening in the moment – this can be noticing what is going on around you, or inside of you. Let any and all things that you notice … be there. You can practice this type of mindfulness anytime, anywhere, and under any circumstance. Simply be aware of what is happening in that moment. Like this moment; what are you noticing right now?

How mindfulness helps stress and 4 ways to practice it. I discuss how mindfulness helps the brain and how to practice mindfulness meditation in everyday life. What is mindfulness meditation? Mindfulness is simply paying attention to your environment, activities, and thoughts in a neutral and non-judgmental way. So you’re limiting your thoughts to your present situation. if other thoughts intrude on the process, you bring your attention back to the present. Practicing mindfulness helps declutter your mind. When your mind gets cluttered, you feel stressed. This can come in the form of feeling tense, tired, overwhelmed, and irritable. Not only does an overloaded mind affect you negatively, but it can also affect your relationships with the people most important to you. If your mind is overloaded, you can become emotionally unavailable or not fully engaged with people around you. How do you remedy this problem when you have a busy life that you can’t change? You live each moment mindfully. Here are four steps to start practicing mindfulness 1. Be aware. This means to be aware of everything in your environment, as well as everything you’re doing and thinking. Keep your focus on the present moment. 2. Don’t multi-task. Do one task at a time. You’ll actually be more efficient if you complete one thing at a time anyway. 3. Be intentional with mundane tasks. Be focused on the task rather than getting the task over with. So If you’re washing dishes, focus on washing each dish, and keep repeating until all the dishes are washed. If you wash the dishes while thinking about how much you hate washing the dishes, You still get the dishes washed, but if you do it mindfully, you finish with less negativity. 4. Listen when others are talking. Don’t think about your to do list or what you’re going to say next . Listen to every word the person says as if you need to repeat it back to them. I challenge you to Spend 10 minutes each day in mindful activity. You may want to make it toward the end of the day when your mind is most full. See if it helps you unwind and relax. Como muchas personas me habéis pedido en las encuestas que haga más meditaciones mindfulness, hoy os propongo esta meditación clásica mindfulness para dormir. Es una meditación larga en la que nos dará tiempo de ir liberando y soltando todo el estrés y la ansiedad o nervios acumulados del día. Como siempre, utilizaremos la respiración como herramienta de gran valor para conectar con nuestro cuerpo, mente y emociones, llenándonos de energía al inhalar y soltando con la exhalación todo lo que no necesitamos para dormir. Iremos por partes, atendiendo a: 1. Liberar la mente de pensamientos 2. Abrir espacios internos donde las emociones puedan fluir libremente y así se vayan ablandando y disolviéndose 3. She is the first to admit that nothing replaces human connection, but the other side of the coin is that we don’t live in an all-or-nothing world; there can be a suite of tools to help people cope in their lives. If your loved ones can support you in breaking a bad habit, for example, that’s excellent. You could meditate and read to expand your understanding of what’s beneath your bad habit. Or, another tool in the box is the Pavlock. What’s that? The Pavlock is an example of transformative technology that are coming into the market to help improve people’s lives. It’s a bracelet or cuff you wear, you can select a bad habit you want to break, and when you engage in that bad habit, the Pavlock will… electric shock you. It sounds like a gimmick, but this device works on our reptilian brains, creating an aversion that becomes associated with the habit you want to quit. There’s also a toned-down vibration setting that can promote awareness and mindfulness without all the voltage. The Pavlock is a great example of transformative tech because it has a counterpart that helps you reach the same goal by a very different road. If the Pavlock is disciplinary, the MOTI works on positive incentives. It’s a small device that sits on your desk or table, and every time you engage in a good behavior you’d like to do more of, you touch it and it blinks colors, vibrates and coos. That’s pretty strange, but it turns out that on a deep level, humans love it. If you’re going to bed early, going for a short run, cooking dinner instead of getting take out, you press it for reinforcement, and it accumulates rewards for your positive action. In transformative tech, the limit is our imagination, and in remembering that you choose your level of involvement. Nothing beats human connection, but a few science-backed bots can be empowering in achieving your personal and professional goals. Nichol Bradford is the author of The Sisterhood. And I would say that I don’t think anything replaces sitting down one-on-one with someone that you love or care about. There’s nothing that replaces that. But we don’t live in an only one thing world. I really believe in having a suite of tools that we use. And so when you can’t be one-on-one with your loved one and you are forced to be at distance then to have things that support you in that. And in terms of other limitations I think a lot of the limitations are really our imagination because it’s out of our imaginations that we develop products.
