INGREDIENTS: 1 package Neo Jjolmyun 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced 5 mint leaves. whole 5 basil leaves, whole 1 teaspoon sesame oil 1 teaspoon soy sauce 1 garlic clove, minced ¼ lb shrimp, cooked and cooled Spring roll wrappers Dipping Sauce: 3 tablespoons soy sauce 2 tablespoons tahini 1 tablespoon peanut butter 1 tablespoon rice vinegar ½ tablespoon chili paste 1 teaspoon fish sauce 1 teaspoon ginger paste Juice of 1 lime ½ teaspoon sugar DIRECTIONS: 1. Prepare Neo Jjolmyun according to package directions. Let cool completely. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, whisk together dipping sauce ingredients and set aside. 2. In a medium bowl, mix together Neo Jjolmyun, bell peppers, mint, basil, sesame oil, soy sauce and garlic until well combined. 3. Slightly dampen a spring roll wrapper and place two spoonfuls of Neo Jjolmyun mixture in the center. Add two pieces of shrimp and roll wrapper to seal. Repeat with rest of wrappers and filling. 4. (호로록🥢) [ 쫄면 ] 1인분 기준 [ 재료 ] *양념장 고추장 2와 2/3큰술(35g) 황설탕 2큰술(24g) 양조 식초 3과 1/2큰술(28g) 간 마늘 1/2큰술(10g) 진간장 1/2큰술(5g) 참기름 약 1/2큰술(4g) 고운 고춧가루 1/2큰술(3g) *쫄면 물(쫄면 삶을 물) 약 6컵 쫄면사리 1개(204g) 양념장 전량 통깨 약간(1g) 삶은 콩나물 약간(80g) 불린미역 약간(30g) 양배추 채 약간(80g) 상추 채 약간(10g) 당근 채 약간(20g) 삶은달걀 1/2개 [ 만드는 법 ] *양념장 만드는 법 1. 고추장, 황설탕, 고운 고춧가루, 진간장, 간 마늘, 식초를 섞어 양념장을 만든다. *양조 식초 대신 사과식초를 사용해도 좋다. *추가로 사과쥬스나 사과를 갈아서 1/3컵 정도 넣어 사용하면 좀 더 부드러운 양념장을 만들 수 있다. *식초와 설탕 양은 기호에 맞게 양을 늘려도 좋다. *채소 준비 1. 콩나물은 끓는 물에 약 4분 정도 삶아 찬물에 헹궈 물기를 제거하여 준비한다. *가위로 먹기 좋게 잘라 준비하면 비빌 때 편하다. 2. 달걀은 찬물에서부터 약 15분 정도 삶아 준비하고, 양배추, 당근은 가늘게 채 썰어 준비한다. 3. 미역은 물에 불려 준비하고 상추는 두께 1cm정도로 채 썰어 준비한다. *쫄면 만드는 법 1. 냄비에 물을 넣고 강 불에 올려 면 삶을 물을 준비한다. 2. 깊은 볼에 물을 받은 후 면을 넣고 끊어지지 않도록 살살 풀어 준비한다. *접혀있는 부분을 결따라 먼저 풀어준 후 나머지 부분을 풀어줘야 끊어지지 않는다. 3. 물이 바글바글 끓으면 풀어 둔 면을 넣고 약 4분 정도 삶아 찬물에 여러 번 헹궈 물기를 제거하여 준비한다. 4. 그릇에 삶아 둔 면을 담고 준비해 둔 채소, 삶은 달걀, 양념장, 통깨를 올려 완성한다. *참기름은 기호에 맞게 선택한다. [ Jjolmyeon ] 1 serving [ Ingredients ] *Seasoning sauce 2 2/3 tbsp (35g) gochujang 2 tbsp (24g) brown sugar 3 1/2 tbsp (28g) brewed vinegar 1/2 tbsp (10g) minced garlic 1/2 tbsp (5g) thick soy sauce about 1/2 tbsp (4g) sesame oil 1/2 tbsp (3g) fine red chili pepper powder *Jjolmyeon about 6 cups water (for boiling jjolmyeon) 1 pack (204g) jjolmyeon noodles seasoning sauce some (1g) whole sesame seeds some (80g) boiled bean sprouts some (30g) soaked seaweed some (80g) julienned cabbage some (10g) julienned lettuce some (20g) julienned carrot 1/2 boiled egg [ Directions ] *How to make the seasoning sauce 1. Combine the gochujang, brown sugar, fine red chili pepper powder, thick soy sauce, minced garlic, and vinegar to make the seasoning sauce. *You can use apple vinegar instead of brewed vinegar. *For a softer flavor, you can add about 1/3 cup apple juice or blended apples. *You can adjust the amount of vinegar and sugar to your taste. *Preparing the vegetables 1. Place the bean sprouts in boiling water and boil for about 4 minutes. Then, wash them in cold water and remove the excess water. *Cut them with scissors for more convenient tossing. 2. Place the egg in cold water and boil for about 15 minutes. Meanwhile, julienne the cabbage and carrots. 3. Soak the seaweed in water and julienne the lettuce to pieces about 1cm thick. *How to make the jjolmyeon 1. In a pot, boil water over high heat. 2. Fill a deep bowl with water and loosen the noodles under the water. *Loosen up the folded part first to avoid the noodles from breaking. 3. When the water comes to a full boil, add the loosened noodles and boil for about 4 minutes. Then, wash the noodles several times in cold water and remove the excess water. 4. Jjolmyeon Recipe: 🤍 I used to ear these noodles at least 3 times a week when I was in high school. It's chewy noodles with crunch veggies tossed in sweet & sour gochujang sauce. So good! The soup I made in this soup is simply 2 cups water, 2 tbsp yondu (Korean fermented vegetables 🤍 yubu (aburaage) and green onion.

The spicy and tangy taste together with crunchy vegetables really got me. Jjolmyeon is one of the 'bunsik' dishes which are referred to more as snacks in Korea. Recipe (makes enough for 3 people) 600g Jjolmyeon 400g Bean sprouts 50g cabbage 1/2 cucumber 1 egg For sauce: 4 tbsp gochujang (korean chilli pepper paste) 1 tbsp gochugaru (korean chilli pepper powder) 4 tbsp vinegar 1 tbsp sugar 3 tbsp corn syrup 1 crushed garlic 1 tbsp sesame oil a pinch of pepper 1. Chop your veggies. 2. Prepare the sauce. 3. Cook the jjolmyeon noodles only for 2-3 minutes and rinse them off under cold running water. 4. Blanch the bean sprounts in hot boling water only for 1 minute. Rinse them off under cold running water and squeeze the water out. 5. Add the sauce to the noodles and mix well. 6. Top off the noodles with some veggies and a cooked egg. 7. Enjoy!

Korean Spicy Cold Noodle 쫄면 //Jjolmyeon // EASY SUMMER RECIPE Hey guys, welcome back to another video. Today, we will be sharing a simple summer Korean recipe called jjolmyun. It is a cold noodle that is chewy, spicy, and sweet! It’s perfect for a simple and light meal when you don’t have an appetite because trust me, it will get your appetite rolling. We hope you enjoy this video, and we’ll see you guys next time! Korean Spicy Cold Noodle // 쫄면 Prep Time: ~15 minutes Cook Time: 10-15 minutes Yields: 2-3 servings Ingredients: 1 serving jjolmyeon noodles ½ Cup cabbage 1 Cup bean sprouts ¼ Cup julienned carrots ¼ Cup julienned cucumber 1 egg, hard boiled Sauce: 2 Tbsp red pepper paste (gochujang) 1 Tbsp red chili flakes, coarse 3 Tbsp vinegar 1 Tbsp sugar 1 Tbsp oligosaccharide 1 tsp soy sauce 1 clove of garlic, minced 1 Tbsp sesame oil Sesame seeds Directions: 1. In a bowl, add red pepper paste, red chili flakes, vinegar, sugar, oligosaccharide, soy sauce, minced garlic, and sesame oil. Mix well and set aside in fridge until ready to use. 2. Prepare all the veggies by julienning cabbage, carrots, and cucumber. Set aside. 3. Blanch bean sprouts in boiling water for about 3-4 minutes. Drain water and rinse bean sprouts in cold ice water. Squeeze all of the excess water out. 4. Boil 1 egg to your liking and set aside. 5. Cook the jjolmyeon noodles in boiling water for about 3-4 minutes in and rinse thoroughly in cold water making sure to get all of the starch out. 6. Place the noodles and vegetables onto a plate and pour your sauce over it. 7. Top it off with a boiled egg and garnish with sesame seeds. Enjoy!
