Ceramic coatings are becoming a more prevalent paint protection option for many automobile owners. They are a great way to protect your paint as they make the paint much easier to clean and keep the paint looking glossy. How Ceramic Coatings Work - What Is The Best Ceramic Coating? Find An XPEL Dealer - 🤍 Sponsored By XPEL! Subscribe for new videos every Wednesday! We are learning all about the world of ceramic coatings! We'll learn: What is a 9H ceramic coating? How much do ceramic coatings cost? How to apply a ceramic coating? What is a nano coating? This is all thanks to XPEL who I’ve partnered with on the video to learn about the ever popular world of coatings. They’ve recently launched their new product Fusion Plus, and what I appreciate about XPEL is that they’re very realistic about what ceramic coatings can and can’t do. If you’ve followed the ceramic coating craze lately, you may hear claims like these coatings completely preventing scratches and rock chips, or that you’ll never need to wash your car again. Not exactly accurate, but that’s not to take away from the very real benefits that these coatings provide, like the ease of maintaining your paint’s cleanliness, protection from things like tree sap, bug guts, and bird dropping, the deep, glossy appearance, and of course the very popular hydrophobic, or water-repelling, qualities. So let’s start with how it works, why it’s useful, and then get into some of the more common misconceptions. XPEL’s ceramic coating, fusion plus, is a silicon based product. So you have a carrier fluid containing nano-particles, and these tiny particles create an inseparable bond with your paintwork that can’t easily be washed off like a wax or sealant. Really, one of the easiest ways to think about a ceramic coating is like a semi-permanent wax or sealant. Regarding pricing for XPEL Fusion Plus, if a car is fully wrapped in paint protective film, it will be about $800 to $1,000 depending on the size of the vehicle and local labor rates. If paint correction is required, the cost will range from about $1,200 to $2,000, depending on the level of correction required and local labor rates. Today we’ll explore more about two of the three main types of materials that we use as engineers: metals and ceramics. We’ll discuss properties of metals, alloys, ceramics, clay, cement, and glass-ceramic materials. We’ll also look at the applications of our materials with microelectromechanical systems and accelerometers. Correction: aluminum oxide is not rust; rust refers only to iron oxide. Aluminum does corrode and the process by which it corrodes has been referred to as 'rusting', even if it is technically not rusting unless the material is iron or steel. In this video, we take a look at Meguiars Hybrid Ceramic Trim Restorer. Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Trim Restorer is the new iteration of trim protection products! Infused with ceramic technology, Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Trim Restorer provides the same hydrophobic protection you've got on your paint to your trim as well! Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Trim Restorer will even leave your trim looking shiny and less faded too! Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Trim Restorer is an easy-to-use lotion that makes applying it to those sometimes hard to reach piece of trim a breeze! Meguiars Hybrid Trim Restorer.......🤍 Because most trim surfaces are porous, keeping them clean and protected has long been a cause of frustration for many detailers. The porous nature makes cleaning them much more difficult due to dirt and debris being trapped in the pores, where it is difficult to remove. However, the more frustrating part of these pores is that it makes protecting your trim nearly impossible! Because these pores create a textured surface, any protection products have a difficult time adhering to the surface to provide lasting protection. That is not the case with Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Trim Restorer though! The ceramic formula of Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Trim Restorer has incredible surface tension that won't easily be broken disrupted by the uneven surface! The surface tension created by Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Trim Restorer's ceramic formula does more than just that though! With a high surface tension, that means that other substances are unable to bond or penetrate through Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Trim Restorer! This means that even water won't be able to latch onto the surface! The same is true for dirt and debris, making cleaning your trim worlds easier!
