Malay dessert from Penang Road Famous Teochew Chendul. Cendol is a traditional dessert originating from Indonesia which is popular in Southeast Asia such as : Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Cambodia, East Timor, Vietnam, Thailand and Burma. Also known as Chendol, lot chong (Thailand), bánh lọt (Vietnam), and mont let saung (Burma). The dessert's basic ingredients are coconut milk, jelly noodles made from rice flour with green food coloring (usually derived from the pandan leaf), shaved ice and palm sugar. Other ingredients such as red beans, glutinous rice, grass jelly, creamed corn, might also be included. Ais kacang, literally meaning "ice beans", also commonly known as ABC (acronym for Air Batu Campur, meaning "mixed ice"), is a Malaysian dessert which is also common in Singapore (where it is called ice kacang) and Brunei. In Malaysia, almost all variants now contain a large serving of attap chee (palm seed), red beans, sweet corn, grass jelly and cubes of agar agar as common ingredients. Other less-common ingredients include aloe vera, cendol, nata de coco, or ice cream. A final topping of evaporated milk, condensed milk, or coconut milk is drizzled over the mountain of ice along with red rose syrup and sarsi syrup.

I've been testing a few cendol recipe lately and this cendol recipe has become my go to recipe now since it's easy and super fast to make. The ingredients are also very easy to access for those who are a little more new to cendol making. The results of this updated cendol recipe is also beautiful. The cendol comes out strong in texture and also has beautiful tails. So I hope you can give this one a try and have some success. Best of luck and happy cooking!  Cendols are a worm like looking starch strands that is commonly used in Southeast Asian dessert paired with a sweetened coconut milk. It is made from either rice flour, tapioca starch, corn starch or mung bean starch. In our version, we will only be using mung bean starch and rice starch. Cendol is also known as Lod Chong or Khao Lod Chong.  YES! This cendol recipe can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days in water. Yes! You can make this recipe a day ahead. 嗨!大家好!我是傻大姐!也是一個愛好煮食,烘培者! 煎蕊是一種在馬來西亞非常流行的甜食。煎蕊又名煎律、晶露、珍多冰,是印尼爪窪地區的傳統甜點,後來也流行於馬來西亞、新加坡以及泰國。今天傻大姐就教大家在家制作軟Q帶咬勁,滿滿香蘭味的煎蕊,吃個過癮! 制作煎蕊 材料: 12條 香蘭葉 (剪小段,加入150毫升清水,打汁,過濾,待用) 40克粘米粉 25克木薯粉 5克果凍粉 100ml清水 1/4 茶匙 鹽 1/4 茶匙 堿水(可呈現漂亮的香蘭綠色。如果不喜歡可忽略) 做法: 1.把40克粘米粉,25克木薯粉,5克果凍粉,倒入碗中,加入150毫升 香蘭汁,100毫升 清水,1/4 茶匙 鹽, 1/4 茶匙 堿水,攪拌均勻。 2.倒入鍋裏開中火,不停攪拌,煮至濃稠, 調去小火慢煮至濃稠就可以撈取,把煮好的面糊倒入煎蕊模具/塑膠袋 3.準備一碗冷水,裏面加冰塊,然後將面糊舀進煎蕊模具,套上推壓器,大力擠壓進冰水盆裏,即成煎蕊。如果沒有模具,可以使用塑膠袋,用剪刀在塑膠袋底(角)剪個小洞,然後就用手擠,一條條的煎蕊就會掉入碗中即可。 4.如果沒立刻吃的煎蕊,可以加入冷開水冷藏於冰箱(可以收藏2-3天)。 煎蕊刨冰做法: 椰漿材料: 200克椰漿,1茶匙鹽,100毫升 清水,混合後,煮滾即可 椰糖漿材料: 150克紅糖,30克紅糖,白糖30克,班蘭葉2條,100毫升清水,倒入鍋中,然後加入清水和班蘭葉煮,煮至糖完全融化及稍微濃關火待用。 其他材料:刨冰,罐頭紅豆和玉米 做法: 準備1個碗,加入刨冰,放入煎蕊,紅豆,玉米, 紅糖水,椰漿,完成即可享用。 食物不僅是生活的必需品,還是生活的準備。 我相信熱愛美食的朋友也熱愛生活。 希望每個人都能跟隨大姐的腳步,探索生活中更美好的事物。訂閱及分享就是給《傻大姐》最大的鼓勵了 感恩有您😊☺️😘😘 Homemade Cendol Hi! Cara buat cendol gula melaka : Resepi cendol sebenarnya sangat mudah dan rasanya yang sangat asli. Cendol seperti yang kita semua tahu ia dihidangkan sejuk dengan rasa lemak santan dan aroma gula merah yang sangat menyelerakan. Boleh buat sendiri di rumah dan makan berulang kali. Bahan - Bahan : Bahan cendol 3 cawan air pandan 1 cawan tepung beras 1 sudu besar tepung jagung 1 sudu besar air kapur Pewarna makanan - hijau Bahan santan 1/2 cawan santan pekat 1/3 cawan air panas sedikit garam Bahan air gula 1 keping gula melaka 1 cawan gula merah Sehelai daun pandan Cara - cara : 1. Kisar daun pandan bersama 3 cawan air , tapiskan untuk dapatkan 3 cawan air pandan. 2. Di dalam periuk, masukan tepung beras dan tepung jagung. Jangan buka api dahulu. 3. Tuangkan air pandan yang dikisar tadi ke dalam periuk yang mengandungi tepung. Kacau rata. 4. Kemudian masukan air kapur, dan sedikit pewarna makanan hijau. Kacau rata. Kemudian buka api. 5. Masak bancuhan cendol ini dengan api yang sederhana. Sentiasa kacau untuk pastikan ia tidak berketul dan masak sehingga ia betul likat dan kental. Jika ia tidak betul masak, semasa proses membentuk cendol nanti, cendol akan lembik dan hancur. 6. Kemudian, isikan bancuhan cendol yang kental ini ke dalam acuan untuk membentuk cendol. Video ini menggunakan acuan roti jala. 7. Sediakan sebuah bekas yang mengandungi ais batu dan sejuk. 8. Mula membentuk cendol menggunakan acuan anda, dan pastikan bancuhan cendol masuk ke dalam bekas yang berisi air sejuk.Cendol akan terus keras apabila ia masuk ke dalam air sejuk. Caranya mudah banget. Sudah 3x percobaan bikin cendol karena penasaran dengan tekstur cendol yang di pasar yang dulu aku pernah beli. Teksturnya bisa padat banget dan gak mudah hancur. Percobaan yang ke 1 tanpa Nutrijell cuma tepung beras + tapioka hasilnya lembek, lembut cepat hancur dan patah mematah teksturnya tidak kokoh. Dimakan pun rasanya kayak makan bubur bayi. Percobaan ke 2 pakai tepung beras + tepung tapioka + air kapur sirih, air kapur sirihnya nggak berani kasih banyak-banyak karena takut rasanya nanti jadi getir hasil akhirnya tetap aja lembut, lembek dan cepat hancur teksturnya cepat patah mematah. Padahal videonya sudah cakep ya tapi gak jadi diupload karena hasilnya kurang bagus. Jadi kesimpulannya resep cendol pandan + tepung beras dengan nutrijell ini best ever ya teksturnya kokoh dan lembut tidak patah mematah air rendaman cendol pun tetap bening tidak keruh. Dimakan pun rasanya lebih enak dan mantap tidak seperti makan bubur bayi. Cobain ya pasti suka. So I decided to explore different recipes that produce the rich flavour and thick chewy texture with easily available ingredients. Finally, I managed to make the most satisfying cendol at home. Cendol is this iconic Southeast Asia Ice dessert. There are 10 different type of cendol in 10 different countries. In Singapore it's known as Chendol. Originated from Java, Indonesia. Believed to be invented in the 12 century. Back then it's a drink and it's not even cold because there was no ice available. Ice only came to Asia in the 19th century. Main ingredients for cendol are pandan leaves, flour, palm sugar & coconut milk. In Singapore we like to sometime add sweet red beans, corns and even Durian.
