His current car is a Volkswagen Golf. His parents bought him the hatchback as a gift when he turned 18. He kept it even while racing in F1 for the Toro Rosso, Renault, McLaren, and Ferrari squads. Sainz had a good 2022 season in F1. He finished fifth in the drivers' championship and scored nine podium finishes. His best result was winning the British Grand Prix at Silverstone. Ferrari is making 999 examples of the 812 Competizione coupe and 599 units of the Competizione Aperta with a removable carbon-fiber roof panel. The 6.5 L V12 under the long hood pumps out 830 horsepower revving to 9,500 rpm. A seven-speed, dual-clutch gearbox handles sending the power to the rear wheels. 0- 60 in 2.85 seconds and a top speed of 211 mph. If it feels like car enthusiasts been saying goodbye a lot lately, that's because we have. The Ferrari 812 Competizione will likely be the last new Ferrari that isn't a hybrid. Every prancing horse that follows it will have a battery pack and an electric motor With the LaFerrari and the SF90, Ferrari has proved that it can integrate and optimize a hybrid system for performance But the 812 Competizione does feel like the end of an era—the last glorious stand of the naturally aspirated - non-electrified - V-12-powered Ferrari.
