A delicious ham turns any gathering into a special occasion. It's easy to prepare a ham, too. Place the ham on a rack in a roasting pan. Next, insert a meat thermometer. Insert the thermometer into the meat, making sure it's not touching bone, or you won't get an accurate temperature reading. Bake the ham in a 325-degree oven for about one hour and 45 minutes. While the ham is baking, make a flavorful glaze. When the baking time is up, remove the ham from the oven, and brush with some of the glaze. Bake the ham 30 minutes more, or until the thermometer reads 130 degrees and the ham is ready for carving. 🤍 - Baked ham is a delicious dinner choice, especially to share on holidays. Blue Jean Chef Meredith Laurence teaches you how to make a glaze and prepare a baked ham. Bring to a boil and then immediately turn off the heat. (Pay attention. You don’t want this to boil over.) 3.Score the ham with crosshatch marks and place in a 9-inch x 13-inch roasting pan. Pour the glaze over the top and then nail orange slices to the ham, using whole cloves. 4.Transfer the ham to the oven and bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until an instant-read thermometer reads 120ºF, basting with the liquid every once in a while. Optionally, you can put the ham under the broiler at this stage to get a little crustiness on top. Otherwise, remove the ham from the oven and set on the counter to rest. Serve sliced with the jus at the table.

Amazing Glazed Ham RECIPE COURTESY OF REE DRUMMOND Level: Easy Total: 3 hr 15 min (includes resting time) Active: 15 min Yield: 14 to 16 servings Ingredients One 7- to 9-pound fully cooked spiral-cut ham 1 cup dark brown sugar 1/4 cup grainy brown mustard 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon paprika 1/2 teaspoon chili powder 3 medium oranges, zested and juiced 2 cloves garlic, grated Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper Directions Let the ham sit at room temperature for 1 hour before baking. This will allow it to cook evenly. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Make the glaze: In a medium pot over medium-high heat, combine the brown sugar, mustard, vinegar, cinnamon, paprika, chili powder, orange zest and juice, garlic and some salt and pepper. Bring to a gentle boil and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Place a rack in a roasting pan. Put the ham on the rack large open-face down (so the spiral cuts are stacked on top of one another). Brush half of the glaze over the surface of the ham, getting it between the slices as much as you can. Pour about an inch of water in the base of the roasting pan; the water should not touch the ham. Tent the pan loosely with aluminum foil and bake for about 10 minutes per pound (1 hour 10 minutes to 1 hour 25 minutes). Take the ham out of the oven and remove the foil. Raise the oven temperature to 375 degrees F. Brush half of the remaining glaze on the ham. When the oven is up to temperature, return the ham, uncovered, and bake for 15 minutes. Brush the remaining glaze over the ham and cook for another 15 minutes. Carefully transfer the ham to a platter. Serve right away, or cover with foil and take it to your gathering! 🤍 🤍 🤍 Subscribe to our channel to fill up on the latest must-eat recipes, brilliant kitchen hacks and content from your favorite Food Network shows. ► FOOD NETWORK KITCHEN APP: 🤍 ► WEBSITE: 🤍 ► FULL EPISODES: 🤍 ► FACEBOOK: 🤍 ► INSTAGRAM: 🤍 ► TWITTER: 🤍 #ThePioneerWoman #ReeDrummond #FoodNetwork #AmazingGlazedHam The Pioneer Women Makes Amazing Glazed Ham | The Pioneer Woman | Food Network 🤍

Learn to make a Caribbean traditional favorite Glazed ham. Enjoy with freshly baked bread on Christmas morning! PRINTABLE RECIPE: 🤍 1 smoked, bone-in fully cooked ham, [about 5-7 pounds] * ½-1 cup dark brown sugar ¼ cup honey or marmalade, jam 2 tablespoons dijon or yellow mustard 100 cloves (If you don't care to count, ask any kid to do so or use a scant 1 ½ tablespoons) 1 tsp cinnamon powder, optional Cooking Notes: • 7 pounds is ideal, but this recipe can be used for a ham up to 10 pounds. For more than 7 pounds I increase the brown sugar to 1 cup and use 3 tbs mustard. • Many folks like to boil their ham before baking. I would only do so if it is salty. Read the package instructions to make your decision. If it says boil first, then BOIL but smoked ham nowadays requires no boiling, • Don't let the number of cloves deter you from trying this recipe. I guarantee you that it's not overpowering. It just sounds like a lot. • If you don’t have honey replace with your favorite marmalade or jam. This happened to me recently and I used a cranberry and pear chutney and it was outrageously delicious – according to my neighbors. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. 1. Remove the ham from packaging and rinse well under running water. Drain and pat dry with paper towels. Score the surface of the ham creating a diamond pattern and place cloves at each corner and/or center of the diamond. 2. Transfer ham to a baking pan or roasting pan (not too wide or else the ham juices will evaporate too quickly and you will have no glaze), place the ham in the oven and bake uncovered 🤍350 degrees F for about 1 hour. 3. In a medium bowl whisk honey or marmalade, brown sugar and mustard. You don't want it too runny-it has to stay on the ham. 4. Remove the ham from the oven and rub or brush mixture over the ham. 5. Turn on the broil feature, place the ham back in the oven and broil until the sugar starts to caramelize and darken. 6. Immediately reduce heat to 🤍350 degrees F and cook for an additional 60-90 minutes or until the meat starts to pull away from the bone, about for 15 minutes per pound. It may take longer in your oven. During that time, baste every 30 mins for about 3 minutes continuously each time. This is called the "ham love-making process". Give it love to get love. 7. During the last 30 minutes, when the pan juices are thickening and hopefully becoming a syrup, baste every ten minutes to create a nice thick, fantastical, irresistible glaze. 8. Remove the ham from oven and let it rest for 10 minutes or overnight. Remove cloves, slice thinly and serve with home-made bread and hot sauce(SEE Y HOT SAUCE RECIPE ALSO ON YOU TUBE). Today I'm baking a beautiful ham in a bag! My smoked ham from Logan Family Farms is studded with cloves and baked in an oven roasting bag resulting in ultra moist and flavorful meat. As a finishing touch I brush a sweet and tangy apricot glaze all over the hama show-stopping centerpiece for your holiday meal! Special thanks to Logan Family Farms for generously gifting me this beautiful Smoked Ham! For more information about their incredible pork products and dry aged beef, visit their website linked below! LOGAN FAMILY FARMS: 🤍 Holiday Ham 8 lb. bone-in ham (Mine was a smoked ham half) whole cloves 1 Tbsp. all purpose flour oven bag (I used Reynold’s brand) ½ c. apricot jam 2 Tbsp. Dijon mustard ½ c. brown sugar Preheat oven to 350*. Slice diagonal lines across the top of your ham through the fat and skin. Slice in the opposite direction as well to form a diamond shaped pattern. Place a clove in each point where the diamonds meet. Sprinkle 1 Tbsp. flour into the oven bag and shake around to coat the interior. Place the ham, fat side up, in the bag and tie the bag with the included nylon zip tie. Using kitchen scissors, slice six 1/2 inch slits across the top to allow some steam to escape. Place the ham on a roasting rack in a roasting pan. Tuck any excess plastic from the bag underneath the ham/into the roasting pan. Bake at 350* for about 2 hours. For the glaze, add the jam, mustard, and brown sugar to a small saucepan. Cook over medium low heat, stirring constantly, until everything has combined into a shiny, thick glaze. Turn off the heat and set glaze aside. Carefully remove the ham from the oven and slice open the top of the bag. Roll down the sides of the bag and spread the apricot glaze all over the surface of the ham. Bake for an additional 10-15 minutes. Slice and serve. ENJOY! Please SUBSCRIBE to my channel! The secret to making a good ham? The ham! Truly, no glaze or cooking technique will make a bad ham better. I am a huge fan of Dakin Farm hams from Vermont (no affiliation, just a longtime fan after years of tasting their products). Here are some best practices: • Cook 10 minutes a pound at 325ºF. • Cook fat side up covered in foil with a little bit of water in the pan. • During the last 30 minutes, remove the foil, crank the heat up to 425ºF, brush with a simple glaze at least twice. • Let rest 20 minutes before carving. Resources: Love Dakin Farm hams: 🤍 (I've purchased both the half and the whole hams, and they are always fabulous.) Find the mustard sauce recipe here: 🤍 Find this full recipe here: 🤍
Pineapple honey glazed ham is great for the Holidays or any time of year. I often serve the dish up with scalloped potatoes but mashed or rice words too. It is a great alternative to turkey, as I am not a turkey lover. If you are, it can be an additional dish too. I use cloves in the ham, but this is totally optional. It just adds a really nice touch. You can also adjust the glaze according to your liking. Watch the video, give it a try, and let us know what you think.
