Celebrating 50 years since its creation, Airbus conducted a formation flight that included representatives from each of its in-production commercial jetliner families – the A220, A320, A330, A350 XWB and A380 – along with the company’s BelugaXL airlifter.
What is the difference between a Boeing and an Airbus aircraft? There are many, of course. For instance, one has a yoke, and the other has a side stick. One has a tray table, the other does not. These are obvious differences, but what are the technical differences between the aircraft made by these two giants of the industry? Let’s take a look in today’s video! The A350 is the bombshell that is going to aid Airbus's ongoing onslaught of whatever remains of Boeing’s integrity in the aviation industry. They’ve finally released their secret weapon which comes with tons of pleasant surprises that will win over a majority of Boeing’s loyal customers. So, how the new Airbus A350 is going to end Boeing’s dominance? The A350 was born at a time when the Airbus was placed under great pressure by its major competitor, Boeing. This story goes back to 2004 when the Airbus A330 family was the rave. It was the model that was bringing in the money for Airbus. Just then, Boeing turned the tide and introduced the Boeing 787 and the 777 models, majorly wide-body aircraft that could carry between 250-300 passengers. Somehow, this factor drew more passengers away from airlines that relied on the smaller Airbus A330 to airlines that had resorted to using the wider-bodied Boeing 787 for long-haul travel. TAP Air Portugal is joined by the likes of JetBlue, Air Transat, and Aer Lingus as regulars flying the Airbus A321LR across the Atlantic. The airline welcomed its first unit in April 2019 and now has 10 in its fleet with three additional expected between now and next year. The model can be seen all across TAP’s network, on both short and long-haul routes, and the airline values the aircraft’s flexibility. Let’s see what exactly TAP’s CEO has to say about the A321LR, as well as it’s other neo Airbus type in today’s video… Article: 🤍 Our Social Media: 🤍 🤍 🤍 Our Website 🤍 For copyright matters please contact us at: legal🤍valnetinc.com

And he was almost right. Airbus began a decade earlier as an ambitious effort to stop the Americans from completely taking over the global aviation industry. Boeing and McDonnell Douglas together were building over 80% of the world’s jetliners. And soon, they would be joined by Lockheed. All three manufacturers were introducing new state-of-the-art wide-body airliners that would revolutionize air travel in the 1970s by offering increased comfort and efficiency. Europe’s aircraft build stood little chance at competing. Unless they worked together. By the mid-1960s plans were underway to build a truly European airliner. One that would involve the continent's leading manufacturers. It wasn't the first attempt at European cooperation (the French and British had already joined efforts to build Concorde), but nothing on this scale had ever attempted. The Europeans would build a new kind of airliner, a purpose-build, short to medium range ‘people mover’, which was increasingly being described as an ‘air bus’. The new plane would be highly optimized for efficiency by using the latest technologies and state of the art materials. It would feature just two turbofan engines, when the soon to be introduced American wide-bodies would have three or four. It meant Europe’s jet would offer increased fuel economy and lower maintenance. It would be called the A300. France, Britain, West Germany, the Netherlands and Spain would each manufacturer portions of the plane for final assembly in Toulouse France. The logistics alone were a spectacular feat. But getting the new Airbus built would actually prove to be the easy part. Convincing the world to take a chance on a completely unproven manufacturer offering an unconventional twin-engine wide-body was another matter altogether. And to make matters worse, the new Airbus A300 debuted in the early 1970s, just in time for a global recession and oil crisis which put a near halt to airplane purchases by airlines. But the A300 eventually caught on, thanks to perseverance and crafty deal-making by Airbus. By the end of the 1970’s the global economy had recovered, but fuel prices had not. The highly efficient twin-engine wide-body found its place in the market. But for Airbus, the A300 was just the beginning. With multinational partnerships in place and a sophisticated supply chain, the groundwork was set for the company’s truly meteoric rise. #Airbus #A300 #Airliners Select footage courtesy the AP Archive AP Archive website: 🤍 YouTube: 🤍 and 🤍 Like the the aviation industry posters found in this video? In the words of Emirates Airlines' president, there has never been a better aircraft than the Airbus A380. In the past, it was a real challenge for the dominant Boeing 747 planes despite having little to no improvements of late. Today, a new version of the Airbus A380 will frustrate the Boeing market even further. Hated by airlines but a darling for passengers, how will the new Airbus A380 fare in the aviation business? But according to Sir Tim Clark, it’s simply not big enough. In recent months, the long-time Emirates president has been calling on Airbus to think bigger & build a true A380 replacement. To some, these calls make no sense - the A380 was a massive $30 billion boondoggle, and hyper-efficient twins - like the 787 - are just far more economical and far more versatile than massive quadjets. So why, then, does Emirates want a next-generation Jumbo? And, more importantly, will Airbus actually build them one? Let me explain… #Emirates #A380 #Airbus #Boeing #777X

16 Dec 2021 was a historical and sad day for A380 fans, Airbus has just delivered the last A380 MSN272 to customer Emirates Airline. In total, 251 A380s have been built. The new aircraft, registered as A6-EVS, is Emirate's 123rd Airbus A380 superjumbo jet. It is also the final A380 aircraft to join the Emirates’ fleet. I visited the brand new A380 in Dubai and interviewed Captain Dwayne Walker who flew it out of the Airbus factory in Hamburg. He spoke about the go-around after takeoff to commemorate the occasion. He also spoke about the future operation of the A380 in Emirates. Next, I met up with an engineer Amjad, who showed me all the items the ground engineering team installed while the new airplane arrived in Dubai. I will never forget seeing the maiden A380 departure in Toulouse on 27th April 2005. It is hard to believe that the A380 is now saying goodbye to the Airbus factory, just 16 years later. The A380 has touched the lives of so many passengers by setting new standards in terms of flying and travel experience. Wish the new A380 many more happy landings! Cover Thumbnail: Airbus
At 73 metres in length, and with an 80 metre wingspan, the Airbus A380 is the world’s largest ever passenger plane. Travelling at speeds of over 700 mph, this jumbo jet can transport you between countries in utter luxury. But how exactly is life inside an A380? Global giant, British Airways, runs a fleet of these feats of engineering, setting the standard for Economy comfort in the industry. Passengers will be immediately greeted with a double width staircase towards the front of the plane, one of the first of its type, and of course leading to the A380’s famous upper deck. Throughout the cabin, LED lights provide the most energy efficient lighting solution. These can be controlled to mimic different scenes, or moods, such as sunset and sunrise, to help prevent fatigue among passengers, helping with the changing time zones. Plenty of natural light also enters the cabin during daylight hours through the exceptionally large windows, which are larger than most other aircrafts’. Biggest Plane in the world

The A380, once beloved, has struggled in recent years, and experts thought it would die. This was no fault of the aircraft itself, as the major airlines shifted their gaze from widebody aircrafts to smaller aircrafts, even for long-haul travel. But Airlines are now taking certain steps with the A380’s that might seem a bit unusual. So, what are they? You would expect that the A380 would be the dream aircraft of every airliner due to its comfortability and high capacity. But from airline owners’ point of view, they seemed to have their fair share of problems with it. The onset of the COVID pandemic did little to improve the situation, and Airbus ceased to produce more of it as the orders seemed to cease. We saw airlines go for the smaller Boeing 747, which they see as more efficient for profits. Want to watch more, please SUBSCRIBE for many more videos like these. With extremely powerful engines for its size and a supercritical wing, the plane is affectionately known as the “sports car of the sky”. It’ll thunder down runways, get airborne quickly, and reach cruise in a jiffy. Now, ask those same pilots what the most underpowered plane is, and they’re just as likely to reach a consensus. More likely than not, they’ll tell you it’s the A340 - specifically the A340-300. This plane is the 757’s polar opposite - a massive, lumbering beast that leisurely accelerates as it takes to the skies. While the 757 has engines that are arguably too big, the A340-300 has engines that are undeniably too small. So why did Airbus stick tiny engines on this gigantic plane? Let me explain… #Airbus #A340 #CFM56 #757

Airbus has secured a new order for its A220 series, another solid commitment emphasising the importance of such a plane in recent history as the preferred narrowbody choice for airlines worldwide and ruling in a market typically uncontested from Boeing, with competition only generally coming from Embraer. 🔔 Become a member: 🤍 🌐 Subscribe to GlobeTrotting: 🤍 CONNECT WITH US 🐦 Twitter: 🤍 👥 Facebook: 🤍 💬 Discord: 🤍 💻 Patreon: 🤍 BUSINESS ENQUIRIES 📧 Email: contactdjsaviation🤍gmail.com CHECK OUT THE PODCAST 🎙️ Spotify: 🤍 🎙️ Apple: 🤍 = ℹ️ MORE INFORMATION ℹ️ 🤍 Licensed under CC-BY-SA 2.0 - Airbus Mediaroom 🎵 OUTRO TRACK 🎵 Krys Talk - Fly Away [NCS Release] Music provided by NoCopyrightSounds. 🤍 Free Download / Stream 🤍 THANK YOU TO MY PATRONS Ian Watson, Jam, Don Gortner, Brandon Fortino, Nick Circosta, 747forever, Robin Capper, GREGORY J FEAZELL, Mike Olague, Thomas Webster, Brad Feldmen, Ash Stanley, Shoaib Quader, Al Gamiochipi, Robert Goldwein, Neil Macedo, Jeffrey Poe, Cal McWeeney, Michael Cairl, Joel, Amelia Ross, Marshall C Brown, Jermaine Hammond, Lloyd Armstrong, Robbie Phillips, Cal Stephens, James Johnson #aviation #news #europe #a220 #croatia #flight #aircraft #avgeek #airplane #airlines #airport #planespotting #airbus #boeing

At least for planespotters 2020 was a fantastic aviation year. Lots of unusual and rare airplanes showed up at various airports on special cargo flights. In this video I would like to show you my personal Top 10 Aviation highlights of year 2020 and I am going to say a few things to each step. The Airbus A380 of All Nippon Airways departed on a test flight from Hamburg Finkenwerder to Hamburg Finkenwerder and I spent a night at Hamburg just to film it. Around 300 planespotters witnessed the departure of the All Nippon A380 testflight that day. I was also able to film a Boeing 747 Classic in 2020. Unbelievable! 8 years after I saw my last classic Boeing 747 Geo Sky suddenly reactivated a B747-200 Freighter and they operated a few mask charter flights from China to Maastricht. I also included the beautfiul Ilyushin IL62, the Antonov An22, a hard Airbus A300 landing and many more interesting aviation moments of 2020. I hope you enjoyed this video, new videos every tuesday and friday.
