I have lots of videos related to moving to vancouver, renting in vancouver, how to move to vancouver, how to rent in vancouver, things to know before moving to vancouver, is rent in vancouver expensive and many other vancouver realted videos you can find on my channel. I was recently inspired by a NYC creator Shan Rizwan and his Public interview series he does - 🤍 All credit to him since he inspired me :) Guessing rent in New York City is a huge topic right now, but not just there, also guessing rent in la, guessing rent in tokyo, guessing rent in london, guessing rent in toronto, guessing rent in san francisco and more are all huge, and now... we have a guessing rent in vancouver! So what did we do? WELL after the great results from the Last Interview series, I decided it was time to guess some jobs 🙌 In this video Guessing Jobs in Downtown Vancouver, I wanted to test my self a bit, and see what we could figure out about the city and its people! I had this idea because I often get asked; how to get a job in vancouver, what jobs are in vancouver, are there lots of jobs in vancouver, how to get a job in vancouver, how to get a job in canada and similar things to these, I figured asking actual people here what they do would be a great way to shed some light on the matter! #adamjbell #publicinterview #vancouver #vancouverbc

Vancouver – a city regularly voted “the World’s most livable”. With breezes that carry the scents of nature and aromas of all the urban delights you’d expect from a city, it’s easy to understand why visitors flock to this Canadian city. When ready, browse vacation packages to Vancouver: 🤍 #Explore the early history of #Vancouver at Waterfront Station, the western terminus of the Canadian Pacific Railway. On your #vacation, experience the interweaving of cultures in Chinatown, where the fusing of Oriental flavors with local seafood has helped earn the city the title, “the Culinary Capital of Canada.” After visiting Vancouver’s central highlights, ride the ferry to Granville Island. From Granville Island, head to Queen Elizabeth Park on Little Mountain, a peaceful oasis high above the city. When it’s time to answer the call of the wild, cross the Lions Gate Bridge to The North Shore, a wilderness where bears roam and salmon-filled rivers flow through old-growth forests. Less than a two-hour drive from the city is Whistler Blackcomb Resort, the largest ski resort in North America. The beautifully connected runs here cater to all skill levels and attract elite skiers and beginners from all over the globe. I wasn't expecting to be this impressed! Vancouver is Canada's 3rd largest city, has perpetually rainy and overcast weather and the most expensive real estate in the whole country! BUT.... it is 'NICE'. If you are looking for a very high caliber of living with nature right at your doorstep, Vancouver might just be the best fit for you if you are looking to live in Canada. I always had the opinion that Toronto was the best city, but the last 3 years have definitely changed things. Join me on a tour of this gorgeous city where I'll take you to downtown, a bikeride around the SeaWall, Chinatown and Granville Island. Before the Pandemic, the Vancouver Downtown Eastside has faced many problems, including poverty, drug use, crime, homelessness, mental illness, vandalism and other problems. Since, the Pandemic, the situation has gotten worse. Recently, homeless people are living in an area where businesses are located. Chinatown is located near the Downtown Eastside. Chinatown is having its share of problems, including buildings being vandalized, loss of local business and loss of tourism. Recent reviews on Tripadvisor have been really negative about our city of Vancouver. People are advising tourist to avoid different areas of the city, including Chinatown. "You have walking dead roaming the streets", agrees Jordan Eng, with one of the reviews on Tripadvisor, who compared people in the area to the "walking dead". Jordan Eng is the president of Chinatown BIA. In my video, I'm saying the area has been "affected" by the Pandemic. In other other words, the Pandemic has made things worse. Some viewers seem to think I'm saying the situation has been "effected" by the Pandemic. In other words, it is the result of the Pandemic. I'm not saying this.

This video is to raise awareness. There are many who think Vancouver B.C. is this shiny tourist destination, ever since the lockdown from the pandemic many issues beyond homelessness, addiction have risen as a result. And it's a very complex issue with many many layers, there is no one solution on how to remedy everything because you'd need more social housing, rehab centers, more mental health facilities, more ambulances, more police, you'd need more things like trauma centers for civilians who have run ins and altercations, there are so many things that stem from it. When most people think of a “bad area” in Vancouver, they think about the Downtown Eastside (DTES), which roughly runs along East Hastings Street from Carrall Street to Clark Drive. This area has a high concentration of people struggling with homelessness and high levels of drug addiction and mental illness. This area is one of the homeless hubs in town. Expect noise from the street people, and your stuff to be stolen if you’re not careful about it (not leaving anything tempting in your car, bringing your bike inside etc) and lots of noise from sirens. Sketchy interactions can be avoided by not engaging and being polite (with the street peeps). Don't forget to SUBSCRIBE! It's free, and makes sure you never miss any of our great videos. Thanks, your support means the world to me!

#vancouver #blizzard #storm The first major fall snowstorm to hit British Columbia's south coast paralyzed traffic and cut power to thousands of homes. Vancouver Island saw massive wind squalls and snow overnight, with some areas of its east coast reporting 25 centimeter of snow. The snow and freezing temperatures turned many Metro Vancouver roads and bridges to sheets of ice, making the Tuesday evening commute an hours-long ordeal. Video footage posted on social media shows a bus with its lights flashing as it collides with a lineup of cars in Surrey, as snow continues to fall. The cars can be seen sliding further down the street. Some motorists were stranded for hours on the Alex Fraser Bridge, which had to be closed because of safety concerns, and others had extreme difficulty navigating the Port Mann Bridge. All major B.C. Ferries sailings were cancelled on Tuesday as snow started falling across the Lower Mainland. Environment Canada warned that frigid conditions will return overnight, potentially creating more slick conditions. Although Seattle is an American city and Vancouver is a Canadian city, both are part of the same region, known as the Pacific Northwest, or sometimes known as Cascadia. Both have a temperate oceanic climate known for their generally cool temperatures and rainy weather. While both have four seasons, it never gets too cold in the winter and never too hot in the summer. Both can get snow in the winter and get A LOT of precipitation from November through January. Yep, those three months are cold, dark, and rainy. Both are in the infamous Ring of Fire, an area where lots of earthquakes and volcanic eruptions tend to occur. Both have about the same population in the actual city limits. (V- 675,218, S- 724,745). However, Seattle’s metro population has about 1.5 million more people. (V- 2.5 million, S- 4 million) But you could say Vancouver is a bigger deal in its home country, as it has the 3rd largest metro in all of Canada, while Seattle has the 15th largest metro. Seattle has been the fastest growing American big city of the past decade. While both are ethnically diverse, Vancouver is more so. 40% of Vancouver’s population is made up of immigrants. Around 28% of Vancouver residents are Chinese. It’s been called the “most Asian city outside of Asia.” Both have low pollution and are environmentally friendly. Both have pledged to go carbon neutral by 2050. I mean, overall both have a high quality of life, and thus...both cities are really expensive.

Snow in late November is hardly news in Canada, but Metro Vancouver's first major snowfall of the season created mayhem and misery for thousands of motorists. Despite most areas of B.C.’s lower mainland receiving less than 10 centimeters of snow, the snowstorm also affected citizens in other ways off the roads. Neetu Garcha reports on the frustration, and what some people were forced to endure.
