LARGEST Farms In Ukraine REVEALED! Welcome back to Down On The Farm, today on the channel we are going to check out the Largest Farms in Ukraine. Ukraine is currently undergoing an historic transformation that will be felt throughout the world. The globally significant progress I am referring to is agricultural land reform. For centuries, Ukraine has been known as “the breadbasket of Europe.” This title is entirely accurate, given that Ukraine is home to around a quarter of the world’s super-fertile “chernozem” or “black soil.” However, Ukrainians have not been able to fully capitalize on these agricultural riches during the thirty years since the country gained independence. Instead, independent Ukraine became one of only six nations globally without an agricultural land market, joining the likes of North Korea and Venezuela. Thankfully, the situation is now being transformed and Ukraine is gearing up to take its rightful place as an agricultural superpower. The untapped potential of Ukraine’s agricultural sector is staggering. The country boasts around 42 million hectares of agricultural land. At present, 32 million hectares are cultivated annually, representing an area larger than Italy. Given the size and fertility of the country’s farmland, together with the vast scope for increased harvests and greater efficiency through ongoing modernization, it is no exaggeration to state that Ukraine can feed the world. In this video, let’s find out the largest farms in Ukraine. #UkraineLargestFarms #FarmlandsInUkraine #LargestAgriculturalLandsInUkraine Related Videos: A day in the Ukrainian Countryside l Our farm in Ukraine 🤍 Largest Farms in The World That Will Shock You 🤍 Farming in Ukraine 🤍

Farming Enterprise “GADZ” is one of the most powerful fruit farms in Ukraine and Europe. Apples, pears and plums of high quality and with the best taste characteristics are grown in the 600-hectare garden. The farm has been restructured into three parts: • Horticulture • Planting complex • Fruit processing complex • Logistics centre with modern sorting and packing lines The garden of Farming Enterprise “GADZ” is located in a favourable microclimatic zone, which allows to obtain high yields of fruit trees – 20-80 t/ha, depending on the age of plantations. Last year, more than 20 thousand tons of fruits were harvested here. Farming Enterprise “GADZ” has been successfully certified by Global G.A.P. for 6 years. This allows to conquer more and more foreign markets. Currently, the farm’s fruits are successfully sold in more than 20 countries around the world. 40% of its products are exported to Europe, the Middle East and Asia. In 2020, the construction of the 4th stage of the fruit storage with a regulated gas environment was completed, so now the farm can store 15 tons of apples at a time during the year. The modern sorting line calibrates an apple into 11 varieties by size, colour and weight. And the packing line allows to pack a fruit from 1 to 18 kg in various types of packing – plastic bags, trays, corrugated cardboard box and bushel. Recently, the farm launched a conveyor drying line for the production of dried fruits, as well as apple chips of three flavours – original, sweet and sour. The variety of tastes will be expanded in the future. The company has been planting for seven years. High-quality saplings of apple, pear, plum, apricot, peach, cherry are successfully exported to Holland, Belgium, France for laying industrial gardens. The farm plans to increase this figure. Depending on the growing season, the company employs from 200 to 750 people, and these are additional workplaces for the local population. In 2021, Farming Enterprise “GADZ” purchased a modern fruit processing line from the Italian company “Engineering A. Rossi” for the production of puree, jams and direct-squeezed juice. Line productivity – 6 t/h. The investment will amount to more than EUR 4 million. Ukraine's Farming Community Is TOTALLY Destroyed!

Ukraine's Farming Community Is TOTALLY Destroyed! Welcome back to Down On The Farm, today on the channel we are going to talk about Ukraine's Large Farming Community Wakes Up to Uncertainty. For Larissa Boden, one of the many farmers whose business makes up the largest part of Ukraine's economy, war came with a loud explosion in the early hours of Thursday morning. She said she relied on social media to try to understand what was going on. Ms. Boden's asparagus and saffron farming business, called Agro-focus Ltd., is based in the south of the country, near Crimea. Any disruption to Ukraine's agricultural industry will be painful for the country's economy. Agriculture is Ukraine’s largest export and the biggest part of its economy, accounting for 14% of GDP in the third quarter of last year, according to the country’s statistics service. Last week, Agro-focus started planting its next crop of asparagus. "We can’t work on the fields today and are scared," Ms. Boden said. Agro-focus is the country's largest asparagus farm and most of its product is exported. The business had already been affected by tensions in the build up to Russia's incursion. The price of fuel was up 30%. A bank that Agro-focus had been negotiating with for a loan has now put those talks on hold. Even before the bombing began, Ms. Boden was concerned that the seasonal workers that farms depend upon will leave to work in more stable countries. Now that Russia has invaded, "there is no contingency plan," she said. Still. Ms. Boden says that while everyone is staying at home, they are calm. "We try not to panic," she said. Meanwhile, Ukraine war ‘will be painful’ for EU food and farming, Commission official warns. Russia’s invasion of Ukraine will have serious knock-on effects that could be "painful" for Europe’s farmers and the broader food system, a senior EU official warned in the European Parliament on Monday. Strengthening Ukraine’s Dairy Sector

🤍 Ukraine represents one of the most fertile agriculture regions of the world and is traditionally a net exporter of milk and dairy products. However, as imports of dairy products have risen, exports have declined. Raising the average milk production and adhering to milk quality standards has become critically important in light of developing issues. In 2013, FAO Investment Centre and the EBRD helped form the Ukrainian Dairy Sector Working Group with the intention of addressing obstacles and transforming the sector. With the introduction of change to government legislation and the development of the investment case for industrialization, knowledge share was facilitated and farmers were able to invest in their own facilities and futures. Investment has successfully benefitted the dairy industry in Ukraine by encouraging collaboration for quality and efficiency. © FAO: 🤍 Subscribe! 🤍 Follow #UNFAO on social media! * Facebook - 🤍 * Google+ - 🤍 * Instagram - 🤍 * LinkedIn - 🤍 * Twitter - 🤍 © FAO: 🤍

Atlas Network congratulates all our Ukrainian partners who have worked hard to liberalize the market for agricultural land in Ukraine, including the Centre for Economic Strategy, EasyBusiness, the Ukrainian Economic Freedoms Foundation, and Ukrainian Students for Freedom. - Imagine you own a parcel of fertile farmland, but you’re too old to work it, cannot sell it, nor use it as collateral in a bank loan. Would you say that land is really yours? Viktor Tsytsyura is a living example of the story of Ukraine the last hundred years: a story of hard work and some suffering yet also a story of hope and tenacity in the quest for a better, more prosperous future. Both he and the think tank EasyBusiness speak truth to power, and their advocacy has helped push the national debate on Ukraine's moratorium on selling agricultural land past a critical milestone and the government will soon end the ban and allow a freer market for farmland in Ukraine. Ukraine: Wheat Market Boom Is Igniting Bidding Wars for Farm Equipment

Wheat isn’t usually something American farmers think much about in the spring. The vast bulk of the crop goes in the ground in the fall, and as temperatures start to climb, they’re focused more on their corn and soybean plantings. But in a sign of just how much Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has upended global grain markets, farmers across the Midwest are scrambling to get their hands on the machine of choice for planting wheat. Called an air seeder, it’s a massive rig that hitches to the back of a tractor and sprays small seeds into the soil.  Demand is so hot and supply so scarce that new air seeders have become almost impossible to find. This in turn is sparking bidding wars for used models that are pushing prices to record highs, says Greg Peterson, the go-to source for pricing on used farm equipment in the U.S. A bunch of old Deere and Bourgault seeders listed for sale on Peterson’s website, machinerypete.com, are quoted in six figures, including one at $450,000 and another at $615,000. Some of these prices now exceed the list price on new models. Many have considered Ukraine the breadbasket of Europe. The black earth is very fertile, and the country is almost twice the size of Germany. So there is plenty of space for farmers to move in from western Europe, where land is not so easy to come by. German farmers are also beginning to discover Ukraine. Wheat, barley and rape seed are in demand, and global prices have shot up. A Kiev-based German consultant, who sells and rents land to German farmers, says he can now hardly keep up with the demand. Grain traders in Kiev are also profiting from the Ukrainian wheat boom. A report by Markus Reher on the German-Ukrainian wheat business.
