An in depth look at the Blackmagic Pocket MICRO Camera. The BMMCC thrives in many areas, but falls short in others. While the BMMCC is a great camera to own as a B cam, I’ll explain why I don’t think it should be your main camera of choice. Lots of example footage featured as well–to help you make up your mind about this cool, but tricky camera from Blackmagic. We take out Blackmagic Design Micro Cinema Camera (BMMCC) and convert it to a full cinema camera with 15mm rods and a metabones speed booster mft ef .64 XL. I used the ef mount Zeiss compact primes cinema lens to help with create that perfect cinema camera look. Later we take some test shots day and night with natural and artificial lighting. #smallhd #smallrig #metabones #Ziess #Jag35 #cameracage #zitay #batteries Support our channel by purchasing some great appeal! 🤍

BMMCC vs BMPCC vs BMPCC 4K Quick test, overcast day. Just wanted to see how the cameras compared under these conditions. Lens used for all cameras: Sigma Art 18-35 f1.8 with the Metabones Speedbooster XL0.64x. Messed up the focal length on the bmmcc by accident but still worked for my purposes. Wanted to see mostly skin tones on a cloudy day on all three cameras.

We test out the improvements to the Rolling Shutter on the Blackmagic Design Micro Cinema Camera (BMMCC). During this video we talk about the rolling shutter between the BMMCC and the BMCC and see if they have improved over time. At the end of the video we try to fix the Rolling Shutter in Adobe Premiere Pro with the Rolling Shutter Repair Effect to see if we can get a better image. Non scientific test of multiple Blackmagic cameras in kind of a living room setup. The subject was lit with natural light coming from a large window about 15 feet away. Some practical lights in the back. The cameras are: 1) Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K(BMPCC 4K) 2) Original Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 3) Blackmagic Micro Cinema Camera Lenses: 1) Pentax Super Takumar 55mm f1.8(with diy "anamorfake" filter) 2) Nikon Series E 50mm f1.8 The framing is a little different on the Pocket 4K because of the bigger sensor. Also the depth of field is shallower because in order for me to get a similar framing, i had to move the subject further away from the background. The purpose of the test was to see how the cameras handle mixed lighting. IR/UV Cut was used for all three cameras. I feel there is a clear winner here. Very subjective though! Let me know what you think in the comments.

For better quality please watch in 4k (upscaled) to bypass YouTube compression! What are the origins of innocence? Have we ever been truly pure in our spirit? When you look at majestic nature you cannot help but think that it’s there, so close that it almost penetrates you and wakes up distant memories of some ancient pure self. Yet there’s always the yearning for just a little bit more to be complete. Be it through prayer, everyday virtuous behavior, humility or even ascesis. It’s a journey though, lasting a lifetime and it’s very important to steer clear from values of transient nature corrupting fragile human soul… This one came to fruition in July last year during our two-week vacation in grand and sublime Ladakh region in Northern India and shot in a matter of days in and around Leh (particularly near Stakna Monastery) and on Tso Moriri Lake. Though it took a one man filming/editing team somewhat longer to put the film together) Enjoy!

A while back my girlfriend and I were in Maine and made a fun little video, this is the before and after of what the color grading looked like for the project(: I'm planning on doing a tutorial on how I grade my BMMCC footage. if you are interested subscribe! So i recently got a Blackmagic Cinema Camera 2.5k(EF Version) and couldn't upload a test because the internal ir was stained (serious quality control with these ir cuts on all their cameras) I couldn't find the original one so a friend 3d printed an adapter for an original bmpcc ir cut, which i got in great condition. It works up to spec and the colors are as they should be. I was eager to test it out so i shot this quick test vs the bmpcc 4k and the micro. The aperture was all over the place on the first test, but there's a second test with the 2.5k vs the BMPCC 4k, a little closer to blue hour. It was hard to focus with the 2.5k since i don't have an sdi monitor, so the images are a tiny bit out of focus at times, not too much. This was just me testing the colors with the new ir cut, and i am relieved they look like they should. This is the first test of many hopefully. I think this is a really great camera!(left the og bmpcc out of this one, but will include it in the next test. My micro and og have the same internal ir though, so they pretty much look identical)
I build little 5inch drone in X8 configuration and mount Blackmagic Micro Cinema Camera with Laowa 9mm lens , for first testing looks ok , only need to solve better stabilization . I shot in 1080 RAW 30fps, edited in DaVinci Resolve

Part 4 of the very unscientific test of multiple cameras: 1) BlackmagicPocket Cinema 4K 2) Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera(Original BMPCC) 3) Blackmagic Micro Cinema Camera 4) Panasonic GX85 5) Blackmagic Ursa Mini 4K 6) Canon EOS M Magic Lantern Raw(apparently shot at higher f-stop, around f4 is my guess, probably moved the aperture by accident when switching cameras, didn't notice until after uploading, sorry for the mistake) Didn't try to match the colors, just tweaked each one a little, until they looked decent enough. We were losing light really fast, so the lighting is different from camera to camera, sorry about that! Framing is a little different for each clip.
