I Bought 10 Broken iPhone X's - But Are They Fixable? These 10 very broken iPhones were in a salvage lot I bought for $1,670. There was no way to know if most or all of them were iCloud locked so I didn't buy them to make money - I bought them to get better at repair. For these phones I diagnosed dock issues, replaced screens and back cases, found logic board issues, programed True Tone, and tried to figure out why the touch screen didn't work. Fortunately, even with my limited experience, I was able to fix a couple of them. ►Tools & Parts I Use (affiliate link): 🤍🤍amazon.com/shop/tronicsfix ►TronicsFix Game Console Repair Forum: 🤍🤍tronicsfixforum.com/ 🎵 Like the Music? About This Video: In this video I'm trying to fix 10 iPhone X's which I don't have much experience with. I've found that's one of the best ways to learn repair though - just to buy some broken stuff and try to figure it out. Some stuff I know I won't be able to fix, like logic board issues and phones that are iCloud locked. But some stuff I can fix, like replacing screens, back cases, and batteries. Have something broken you want to send me? 👉 Items sent to this address will not be sent back. (And please no junk!) Steve Porter PO Box #619 Milton Freewater, OR 97862

There is a wireless charging coil on the iPhone, if you can’t get the lightning port to work, I suggest getting a wireless charger and charging it on the charger as part of your test.

I bought the iPhone X back in early 2018 and still use it about 4 years later! I must say this phone aged well and is still in good condition! My last phone was the iPhone 5s and lasted about 4 years and it was bear up before upgrading to the X.

Man, I really wish there was a way to remove the locks from iPhones. I found an XR and I've left it on for like a month waiting to see if someone would call and no one has so I can only assume there's no actual sim in it. But nothing I've tried to do to get into it has worked 😅

Hey man! I’ve done roughly 100+ iPhone repairs and I’d say great start! The one tip I’d have is to twist those battery adhesive strips around your needle noses, a lot easier than pulling. If you twist your needle nose tweezers and keep it as close as possible to the battery, moving closer as more is twisted on the tweezers, you’ll get them almost every time

omg this video is amazing. it's so satisfying watching you parse through what could potentially fix it. it's a very methodological process

If you have the IMEI or serial on some paperwork when you bought it, you can remove the activation lock. They just need proof of purchase

Update them with 3u tools if you get more in the future that say unable to activate because of update

The 'unable to activate' iPhone just probably needs to be reset via iTunes, try that!

An easy way to identify if an iPhone has some kind of board damage is to check if there's warning symbol near the battery percentage in the status bar, if it even boots at all lol

I'm thinking apple purposefully make their phones out of weak materials like aluminum and glass so that you have to buy new ones.
