Is exercise or diet more important for heart health? Cardiologist Dr. Kim Williams compares the benefits of both on this episode! Science shows that plant-based diets can help reverse heart disease but is it possible to outrun a clogged artery? Dr. Williams will explore that question while discussing the best sports for cardiovascular fitness. He also gives his top heart healthy foods when he joins “The Weight Loss Champion” Chuck Carroll. Plus, Dr. Jasmol Sardana answers questions about plant-based nutrition when we open The Doctor’s Mailbag.
What is wrong with mixing dairy and meat?
Why am I just finding you.
I'm a big fan of steady state aerobic exercise for one reason. It's the same reason you won't find a ton of folk at your local marathon training HIIT, but instead they all do steady state. Injury.
You can't simply seperate one from the other. Ludicrous. Excercise and a whole plant base diet work in tandem.
God bless u Doctor you are a true man

Dr Kim Williams is the man! Seriously you're the best Doc!
I friggin love this channel!
He’s a doctor so I get him downing refined carbs, but real talk nothing will quickly and significantly improve athletic performance like plain ol table sugar and water, especially for endurance endeavors. Kenyans eat a ton of refined white sugar for a reason.
When she says to check with your doctor about iodine supplements, she’s ignoring the fact that most doctors don’t know anything about nutrition. They would probably just say to take a multivitamin and calcium supplements and whatever else their commercialized continuing education lectures are touting.
This was very educational. I've been trying to research for a vid like yours that really educates everything in this video! 🧑⚕️ 🩺Your explanation for sure is like the content of this insightful Dr Ethan. His videos are for sure knowledgable and he helped me on my wellness. He is an educational Dr!
I recommend you check out his YT out and give the doc a like! ➡️ youtube.com/results?search_query=%23doctorethanstudent #DoctorEthanStudent
I agree as an Exercise Physiologist that healthy nutrition trumps exercise. Been in the Fitness field almost 40 years.
Tennis is like HIIT
You're a great host, Chuck. I am glad I found you all's work on YouTube!
how long on a plant based diet to see changes in heart health? How long to see a reversal of heart disease?
Why don't you put the link to the podcast in the description?
To the person with high BP.... food intolerances can cause high BP. Don’t just take the oils out of your diet. Rather look at doing food elimination dieting. Having gluten (bread, rye etc) definitely pushes my BP up. You can also look at a coeliac disease test. And for you, have a look if you are intolerant or allergic to soy (tofu).
