I'm a big fan of steady state aerobic exercise for one reason. It's the same reason you won't find a ton of folk at your local marathon training HIIT, but instead they all do steady state. Injury.

He’s a doctor so I get him downing refined carbs, but real talk nothing will quickly and significantly improve athletic performance like plain ol table sugar and water, especially for endurance endeavors. Kenyans eat a ton of refined white sugar for a reason.

When she says to check with your doctor about iodine supplements, she’s ignoring the fact that most doctors don’t know anything about nutrition. They would probably just say to take a multivitamin and calcium supplements and whatever else their commercialized continuing education lectures are touting.

To the person with high BP.... food intolerances can cause high BP. Don’t just take the oils out of your diet. Rather look at doing food elimination dieting. Having gluten (bread, rye etc) definitely pushes my BP up. You can also look at a coeliac disease test. And for you, have a look if you are intolerant or allergic to soy (tofu).
