“..we do not have large scale long term randomised trials…” So why make shit up?
Keto since march 2014. Ketovore since 2019. Carnivore for maybe 6 months. 55 years old. Strength training consistently for about 12 years. Stronger and healthier, both physically and mentally, than ever.
This guy is clearly malnourished.
Weight loss more important than life😄😄
I think if someone is way overweight.Lets say 100 pounds overweight. They should ditch the regular american diet and go on keto until the weight comes off and then they should go on a plant based diet.
I think it is very interesting the drastic contrasts of the different groups Meats/Plants. With respect to the information and study's that are out there now and how bias they are. My belief is that this is all profit driven. IMO you should what you think it best for you. Either way you go, just stay away from processed foods, seed oils, and sugar. This is a sure bet that you will be more metabolically healthy.
I've never had red meat in my life. Nothing against it, I just can't handle the texture of meat without breading. I eat fried chicken, but the breading to chicken ratio has to be high enough. I just gag when i chew pure meat. Maybe I'll love to 100.
This is all corporate. It's the next stage in trying to feed the world cheaper and more profitably now they have realised that the low fat/high carb advice is what has led to the massive decline in public health over the last 40 years. If you want to be healthy - eat as your grandparents did - we haven't been vegan for 5 million years.
Sugar causes heart disease, even if you're not fat. Fat is essential, you HAVE TO EAT IT, glucose is not essential, you don't have to eat it because your body produces all the glucose it needs. Excess glucose leads to many dietary related illnesses. These people want you fat and sick, you're a cash cow for these "doctors". My wife subscribes to this garbage and is less healthier because of it and yet calls me unhealthy for still eating meat. This isn't a diet, it's a sugar cult.
With a brain that is two thirds fat and cholesterol, why would you want to starve it?
Stop killing animals for food
I love watching these sickly looking vegans🤣
Only bullshit and stupid studies about meat causing cancer, eggs causing cancer, all part of the agenda, the real cause of cancer is STRESS. Even wild animals get cancer and they eat fucking grass every day.how/ day.How can you tell me that a varied vegan diet is healthy when it's fucking full of antinutrients, lectins, oxalates, poorley absorbable proteins and nutrients.
I went vegan= bloated all the time, heartburn, acid reflux, imagine all those antinutrients and oxalates i ingested how beneficial they are.
This is full of false science.
In 2022 I'm still seeing "keto cured this and that and I feel so much better on keto". Either, there really are different diets for different folks (I don't believe that), or, I'd hate to see what they were eating BEFORE 'going keto' such that 'going keto' helped them so much.
This man is at the top of his field. He cites all relevant research, knows their strengths and weaknesses, understands clinical implications of meta research and the conflating effects of low-carb and ketogenic diets via initial, massive weight loss. I would want Dr. Williams to be my cardiologist without hesitation. He combines superb intellect with outstanding bedside manners -- all in the tradition of Dr. Marcus Wilby. We need more docs like Dr. Kim Williams. Yes, a good doctor is hard to find these days.
Veganism kills!!!
I don't promote the ketogenic diet, but high blood sugar variability and excursions over 140 mg/dl have been proven to be the cause of almost all glycation damage to blood vessels and glucose sensitive tissues, and a ketogenic diet virtually eliminates blood sugar variability and excursions. A typical ketogenic blood sugar range is from 85-110. A typical 60% carb diet blood sugar range is 70-140 with excursions over 140-the point of proven cell damage.
