The reason is why Jazan “feels like Yemen” is because it used to be a apart of North Yemen up until 1934. In the treaty of Taif, saudi was supposed to return Jazan and Najran to Yemen after 20-30 yrs but they didn’t, this is one of the reasons (not the main reason) for the war between these two countries right now.
