I have been seeing videos about leeks. Have you guys experienced this.
I saw Boreas Campers came out with their EOS-12. Have you guys seen that, and if you have, what are your thoughts? I want to buy the Taxa from you guys, though have some concerns.
How does this tow down the highway at 60-65?
Can you do a video showing someone storing in a standard 7' garage. I measure our garage at 6'10 1/2" with the weather stripping adding another 1/2" if needed to hit that. Our driveway is on a slight angle up to garage entrance as I am sure most driveways are like that. concerned it will not fit with such tight tolerance. Is there a way to lower the unit just to get it into garage?
I want to see this guy lay on that top bunk. It looks about 12' wide. Not sure anyone over the age of 5 would be comfortable on that. Dining directly above the toilet, Sleeps 3. Milk crates... They want a fortune for these. People, please compare options before buying this. That screen door is a joke!
jIhXKB1Ttpo&t=38m52s 38:52 It looks like the latch is already wearing a hole on the tent. The hook should be turned to be facing outboard when latching it down, be covered in soft rubber, and have a heavy duty nylon patch sewn in the tent. Also if it's turned around, when it's hanging down you won't have a giant meat hook sticking out.
The door screen looks like an afterthought which would just get in the way and let bugs in anyways if there is a gap. Why not a full side zip with magnets for the opening? A similar closure would be nice for the big overhead door as well.
Do these have problems leaking? I seen a review from another channel saying that they sid real bad
I appreciate this in-depth video. It's shown us that this is not the trailer for us, as it isn't really setup for off-grid overlanding. That's a shame, I was hoping it would be because I dig the style, but you do a great job at clearly explaining all the trailer can do, which isn't enough for our needs. But again, great video! Thanks so much!
Have you had it in heavy rainstorms? Does it leak? I've seen several videos where owners have mentioned that in fact it does leak in heavy rains. Thanks.
Can you do an update on the 2021 Overland Edition?
I find it a shame not to be able to find this Taxa Mantis in EUROPE! I am in France and frankly me and my wife this Mantis really suits us.
At 19 ft long it is hardly garage-able. It is also one foot wider than most compact trailers making it harder to see the road.behind. There is no rear hitch receiver to carry bike rack. Actually all TAXA trailers have no receiver hitch! Am I supposed to mount a 50 lb mountain ebike on the roof or a wobbly tongue mounted bike rack? Why is it so tall? It barely fits in a garage door at 82" tall! Nobody needs such a high ceiling when the roof is raised. Folks can't close/open widndows without standing on a step stool. No wonder Elon Musk took over from NASA.
I think i like that awning better then the one I have on HQ15
The margin on those thins should be huge. They cost $40K and it doesn’t look like they are worth it.
Doesn’t look like it would withstand off pavement conditions for too long.
No Thank You
Good video. Thanks for showing us. There is a commenter below asking about the leaking issue. I assume he is referring to another YouTuber that showed a video of the leaking. I agree with him that you should not have to deal with any water in your compartment. Please test this. :-)
Thanks, for doing this. I've been looking forward to a quality review of the Mantis.
