My sister has a Civic, and I once got 4.2l/100km and I wasn’t even on the highway! Their fuel efficiency with the 2L 4 cylinder engines are so good!
I’d like to see these guys review a Honda Fit. Wonder what they’d think about it.
Honda for the drive Toyota for the reliability
I just bought a used 2019 Carolla Hatchback XSE (Bronze Oxide too). I love how comfortable and quiet it is. Sure, it’s not fast but it’s not a sports car; it’s the perfect everyday, high mileage car.
I would get the TOYOTA with a 6-speed manual. for better economy and more livability.
Honda stupid car 😑
I’m waiting for my Corolla. Hopefully will get it soon. However here in the UK you do get sunroof. Which I did add as an option.
All the way for me Toyota Corolla.
I like both. Will buy two of them。one for me and one for my wife. All with NA engine and 6mt
No dealership is selling the XSE for under 30k lol! Not in America that I know of.
I now have a 2022 corolla hatchback, which doesn't have the CVT issues that the early ones have. Plus it has a launch gear for taking off. An actual first gear, then switches to the CVT once you get going.
I'm very new to the new cars so I have to get used to infotainment systems and push button start. But I like it. It's comfortable, smooth despite the relatively rougher ride due to a short wheelbase.
I personally like the paddles on the steering wheel, and after only 20 miles of driving in manual sport mode, I've learned when to "shift" to not have the car jerk. The engine loves to rev up high, which is where the engine makes its power and torque.
All the cars I've ever owned have been hatchbacks and I'm a fan of the practicality of them.
Just wait till more performance mods come out for it such as exhaust and forced induction...
I'm so glad you did a comparison video on these two cars. I currently have a Civic sport hatch and I was considering changing it for the corolla but Thomas convinced me to keep my Civic
This needs a 2022 update
For me, it’s the reliability but mostly the styling is spot on
Honda for men
What the hell is wrong with Toyota design ? The overhangs on this Corolla are comical. They couldn’t even manage to get the Supra right with 2 decades of lead time.
Since you wanted me to comment, here it is. I am sick of hearing car testers talk of "sporty", "enthusiast", "launch times", etc.. If you want all that, then get yourself a go-cart and run it in circles.
A car is a means of transport, and should get you from A to B in comfort and safety, and should reliably do that for years. The Corolla fits that bill perfectly.
He’s right
I have 2010 accord and swapped out the radio for a screen, in return it had touch volume and it doesn’t have anything on it to feel that ur turning it up. I use my steering wheel to turn it up 100% of the time
I wish you guys could try the 184hp Corolla hybrid hatchback we have here in Europe, 0-60mph in 6.4 seconds, very nifty car. I have seen people racing these against some BMW hatchbacks and winning! Also, to add, with the GR Sport version, you get adaptive variable suspension which really makes the 184hp hybrid Corolla really sports car-ish!
