So many problems could start to be solved if we legalized drugs and find safer ways to deal with addiction and the way drugs are viewed and used in society. The drug war clearly doesn’t work and we need new solutions…

There is clearly a lot more issues but creating profitable legal business and education and opportunities could help so much. But those in power profit too much off the violence and underground to change anything :(

I actually lived in Honduras for 2 years, in a city called Comayagua. Loved every single minute of it. Saw some unbelievable things. Met some amazing people. And i would go back..

Well I wouldn’t say America is soooo good for women, if u walk with a short skirt l there men too will think you’re a prostitute or that you wanna fuck 💀 and men still have control over women, they are the ones to decide if women can get abortion or not.

Thank you very much for your Video and the authentic Work!!!!! I am half german / half honduran and grew up there! It makes me very emotional to see your video since I know about the Situation in Honduras very well. I grew up in two very much different worlds of Honduras and Germany- it could not be more an opposite:)
I will visit my family soon there again and even though, I know about the circumstances I love the country and it’s people so much– it is a beautiful place on earth! Greetings from Germany, Isabel

Its nice to travel and explore this world, but a word to the wise. There are some places you should NOT go, ESPECIALLY as a foreigner. You keep on pushing the envelope and you will end up just another statistic. The reason journalists are allowed to go to these dangerous places is because they have been granted permission. You going there to film for yourself just puts a target on your back.

Really liked this series. as a half Honduran, half Mexican born and raised in the US that has never been to Honduras and doesn’t have much of a relationship with my Honduran relatives I really enjoyed getting an inside look at my heritage. I’m thankful for your work not only for my personal reason but because I hope many Americans that wouldn’t otherwise learn about Hondurans and their plight see this and understand why so many come seeking refuge in America and finally empathize and coexist with them. Ignorance is the root of bigotry.

For anyone who might be wondering why so many south American countries (or anything below the USA, really) are struggling with these internal conflicts of corruption and gangs and stuff, i recently heard a beautiful explanation to it all and it might give some insight as to why it is so hard to change.

Try to think of a country in south America that doesn't speak some form of Spanish, or anything roughly derivative of that, i bet you'll be stuck on that one for at least a while. The entire continent is still feeling the consequences of the Spanish conquering the lands over there. They were ruthless in their conquests, leaving nearly nothing but memories of the native people and their way of life. The ones that did survive lived under extreme circumstances for so long that over time, all they knew and lived for was taking care of themselves, because they had to.

Knowing this, it becomes glaringly obvious why there is such a widespread infestation of corrupted leaders. Because when the Spanish finally left, this left behind a huge power vacuum, up for grabs for anyone that played their cards right.

Under normal conditions, this would usually lead to positive developments, but remind yourself of the fact that these people have lived for so damn long having to take care of nobody but themselves, it has become engrained in their way of life. So anyone who is in control will obviously just be there for.. right, themselves.

This is why they can't seem to escape this endless circle of voting promising leaders in and them inevitably stabbing their own people in the back.

Omare was speaking truth and from his heart- he touched on the topic that I know that you have to stay away from Nick and play it safe and some of what you say and show and that’s understandable but his comments regarding a woman will be killed violently every 36 hours let that sink in😢😢😢 my heart aches for the real people who are living they’re trying to do the best that they can do under the circumstances that are totally out of their control. I can’t even imagine. Hence why I get so angry when I hear people in America complain about the most mundane, frivolous thing- they have no understanding of what it means to be oppressed and to live in these circumstances. We have so many options and opportunities for some of these people in so many of these countries that you show don’t have and won’t have- I was always taught when I complained, to remember that whatever I’m complaining about someone else somewhere in the world would be happy to have whatever it is I’m complaining about

As a Mexican and hearing Omare talk about the corruption makes me really think of Mexico, it’s the same, and it’s just truly heart breaking how such beautiful countries can have such power hungry corrupt humans 😔

Wow Omare thats the kind of leader they need one that has that kind of passion for people and a realistic idea of how long change can take...--- must teach the next generation to do better for sure. do what can be done now and thinking of the long term impact.

Hey, I'm honduran so this was all caused by Juan Orlando Hernández. Sad hopefully Xiomara Castro will fix this chaos.

Honduras is beautiful chaos. I have been many times. For people growing up there with rampant crime and seeing so much from a young age I imagine it takes its toll on these poor young souls by desensitizes them. There is so little opportunity for work and such a major lack in quality education for all and no investment in infrastructure. There is so little middle class. With all that being said the people are amazingly giving, kind and happy and you forget all the bad stuff being there. The country is so beautiful its truly a paradise for your eyes. It's so sad that things still haven't changed. I hope you go back someday and show the mercado en SPS, local artists, eat some fish at Lago de Yojoa, ruinas de copan and Omoa maybe in June to see the feria Juniana just to name a few.

As a person that had to migrate out of Honduras, lived in Chamelecon and Santa Barbara for most of my childhood. Leaving the country, my people and some family that I never got to see again left a huge hole in my heart. Sometimes I wonder what would have happened if I stayed.
